Game running, shows up in task manager, but has no window

So about a month ago I tried to launch WoW and it crashed immediately with the 132 error that said something like access violation. I thought “whatever, I’ll handle this later.”

Fast forward to now. I launch the game from the Bnet launcher and it goes to a black screen for a few seconds and then back to my desktop. I hear the BFA music. My cursor is the WoW cursor, but I can’t click on anything on my desktop. The WoW icon appears at the bottom of my screen as if it is running, but I don’t see the actual window.

If I open task manager, world of warcraft is there and appears to be running by looking at all the different values it takes up from disk, cpu, etc… but if I click on WoW it just gives me the special cursor and I hear the music again, but it’s as if the window is just invisible. I try clicking on the screen where the enter world button would be, or try hitting enter on my keyboard but nothing happens.

Before a month ago when I tried to play the game, I hadn’t played it for a few months before that.

Hi Aljitraz

Let’s try the standard UI reset first here:

If that doesn’t help we should take a look at a DXDiag report:

The second section of page has DXDiag report instructions - we don’t require the MSinfo report.

That will be a wall of text. If you have issues pasting on the Forum here go ahead and put it up on pastebin.com. Provide the link code portion of the URL - example below.

Resetting the UI totally worked thank you so much!

Good to see. Go ahead and download new addon versions then install one at a time testing as you go for issues.
