this has been happening for over a week, and i keep getting “not responding” error and the game just froze in mid of M+ and RAID; there is nothing more frustrated than that…
i’ve tried “scan and repair”, upgrade my graphic card driver, lower the graphic settings (i’ve used to play highest setting with no issues), none of them resolves it.
i wonder if anyone else has similar experience and know the fix? Thanks a lot in advance
You’d want to include your DxDiag for troubleshooting to take place.
Definitely check your video card’s most recent update. I had an update on Feb 14th, and that was just about the time my problems started.
I have an nvidia 1060, and it was great until then. The update from Driver Version:511.65 - WHQL to 511.79 seems to be the issue. I did the clean uninstall of the drivers, and rolled back to 511.65 and so far, it seems to be working.
Of course, fingers crossed, knock on wood, trap a leprechaun and make him work for me.
I am now having this same issue, also started after the nvidia driver update. Screen going randomly black (for a second) only when playing WoW. Is your solution still working?
Depending on which update seems to be the trick. Rolling back, using the clean uninstall tools Nvidia suggested, then waiting until there is a new update past the troublesome one.
Mine is back to working great. I never had a black screen though. Mine stopped responding and the screen went translucent white.
