Game not responding when i open

Whenever I open my game it white screens and says “World of warcraft is not responding” before the game even opens. Wondering if anyone else is having this issue after the patch, or had this problem and fixed it somehow, thanks.

I tried deleting cache, re-downloading, restarting pc, pretty much everything.

All of America is trying to log in at once. It’s over locking the servers.

its not like the servers though, when i press play on the launcher it doesnt even open the game it just white screens and says “world of warcraft not responding”

I have the same thing happening to my game.
I click play, the game pops up and then whitescreens and won’t respond.
All my stuff is up to date, I was just playing a few days ago…

Same. After this update (11/07/2023), my game won’t respond, just a whitescreen. I thought that this could be something with my OS, so even tried to reinstall Windows and still having this error. Everything up to date, btw

I had that problem last night too, but going into task manager, ending Bnet and reopening it fixed it for me.

I am with all others here…its not responding. I even opened task manager and closed Bnet. didn’t work. Everything on my end is updated…

Having the same problem as of recently. At first it was just retail, now classic is doing it too. As soon as I launch the game, it doesn’t open and respond.

It’s an issue with the last patch and DirectX 12.

These steps usually fix the issue but I think they are also putting in a fix soon.

DX12 Doesn't Work In 10.2

Howdy! This issue is being investigated by our team as quickly as possible! As others have stated, launching the game with DirectX11 will help as a workaround until this issue can be resolved. Steps to do this can be found here. Note: When using DirectX11, you may not have access to certain graphic features, and performance can impacted. So, if you usually, for example, run the game at a higher graphics preset for now, you may wish to pick a lower one. Thank you.

Same issue, click play, white screen with “World of warcraft is not responding”. Did all the troubleshooting steps.

I finally just clicked the “wait” button and went for coffee. When I got back, the game had launched and worked for a few days. I just updated graphics drivers and it was stuck again.

switched from directx12 to directx11
after reinstalling game, and ddu gpu reinstall, driver reinstall, nothing else worked.
