Playerbase is getting older. personally I enjoy things like the farm from MoP and the garrison. things I can devote my time to and see gradual progress. i dont want to raid, i dont want to spam M+ until the end of my days, but I DO want to see measurable progress being made to my character. That doesnt necessarily have to be gear, but i do enjoy seeing the fruits of my labor and I think the past few expansions havent contained enough things for people like me to stick to like that. I devote all this time to making my gear better and then a new patch drops and my gear sucks again. i dont like it.
give me a farm that I can put my time into instead.
You might enjoy Palia! It’s former WoW devs and a “cozy” MMO all about housing, farming and a bunch of other skills and gathering, along with some questing, NPC friendships and relationships and some interesting lore so far.
You’re incentivized to help each other, so people call out rare ores and trees and animals. Fishing near others gets you a bonus, etc. Their Maji Market event was fun too.
Controls are a bit different, because it’s for PC and Switch, but I got used to them.
Time to look for a new game, they (wow development team) not going to turn wow into a hospice friendly game…
Imo Stardew Valley is what you’re looking for
They don’t need to change the raiding scene or the M+ scene. Just add new things to a dying game for those of us who don’t want to do those 2 things. The “do nothing” that you’re suggesting isn’t working out real well for them.
They have a hard enough time just doing raids and new dungeons, let alone. Stuff that you might like, farms ETC…again check out Stardew Valley
If you consider everyone who isn’t willing or able to dedicate their life to wow esports is “hospice” fodder, I pity the people who know you in real life.
Have a lot of friends that would disagree…
But you do you
And 90% of my friends are older then me in there 70’s have a few in their 50’s
it kind of sounds like you’re in fact focused on the gear
I mean, I still enjoy the occasional dungeon and I would raid if it wasn’t a twice a week every thing on a schedule. I’ve devoted I don’t even know how many years to this game and I don’t WANT to play Stardew Valley. I want them to improve WoW.
Good luck…
That’s because as it stands, the gear is the only thing that exists that I can improve. I play FF14 I don’t work on my gear. I work on my island and my player housing and my relic weapon. Those other means of ticking the progression dopamine don’t exist in WoW and that’s what I’m asking for. Hope that clears it up.
There are many things we can improve on, in the game.
You can improve your personal skill. (This is a big one that too many people neglect…)
You can work on your reputations.
You can get achievements.
There’s lots of stuff to collect.
Lots of people just like working with transmog.
WoW isn’t, and never will be, a building game, because it’s not coded in a way where that’s practical. (Remember, in WoW you can’t even drop things from your inventory on the ground, like you can in most building games.)
Palia is better. It’s got everything the OP wants, it’s new and it’s former WoW devs.
Either or they honestly both good games at what they do
How much is Palia paying you
“Big palia”
And reject my true nature as a scrub? I think not.
this is what i always think of when i see people who are like “hey, i’m brand new to X spec, can you please help me determine whether i should be running 32.17% haste or 32.25% haste?? i’ve been simming for hours and i just am not sure which is better.”
it’s like… you could spend way less time and get way more results by focusing on significant things like the fact that you’re sitting on your cds, or whatever it might be!
Sorry for offering a good game to someone? God forbid? It’s literally what the OP wants and it’s former WoW devs. I thought that would spark interest for them.
Do you people just snark at anyone that mentions different games?
Ok,where are they then? these players? I don’t see them except for the ones here.
