Game masters have become Useless

As some players might remember in the past if you had a problem youd open a ticket wait and eventually a game master would respond to you and most of the time if it was a real problem would help you out. For close to a month now i have had a ticket open that keeps getting passed back and forth between game masters who are refusing to help in any way. I have had game masters say yes we can help you and fix the issue but we wont to game masters saying yes we have received reports of this before and have passed it along to our internal teams to try and fix it but we wont help you to game master who just close my tickets without answering or have actually sent me a reply i think was meant for someone else as they used a name that was in no way tied to my account. Its ridiculous that even having a real issue that they admit is a problem you just cant get any help any more from them. If anyone one who reads this has a problem with the game you’re out of luck if you try and open a ticket its completely pointless now.

Probably something we can’t help with, if their internal teams are aware of the issue.

Without a doubt. I just think it’s funny that he typed that all out without saying what the issue he’s having is.

I remember when we didn’t get multiple copy-and-pasted responses that didn’t have anything to do with the topic of the ticket before we got a real live person to look at the ticket.

Yes, in fact I had more than a few nice conversations with an actual human GM as late as WotLK, if I’m not mistaken. It gave me confidence that someone actually cared about me. That’s totally gone and never to return.

You can thank the management for that. I did a job doing customer support online for a while and things and scripts were always changing on a whim. We could do one thing one day and then be unable to do it the next, and they’d provide us with the correct verbiage to use that made us sound more robotic.

Calls and messages were monitored and QA would dock us points if we so much as veered away from it.

Basically, the GMs are just doing their jobs and would probably like to help if they could and had the tools to do it but things are always changing.

They have actually said they could fix it but wont is the real problem

Half the time, you just get a copy and paste form response that isnt even relevant to what you made a ticket for.

I just want to tell you guys, for reals, it didn’t used to be this way. The GMs used to be our advocates. They loved us, because we were playing their game. Now it’s just an algorithm.

If I were a game master and I got a ticket with that level of detail about the problem, I wouldn’t be much help either.

I do miss the days however when they’d pop up with a little emote in your whispers. :frowning:

They can only help with administrative issues.

For everything else there’s self service pages.

Oh, 100%. Vanilla, BC, Wrath? Blizzard GMs were the best in the business. Its sad what its become.
