Game keeps crashing

I installed wow classic on a newish/used pc I received from a family member who was no longer using it. Soon as I try to launch the game I get this error/game crash. I’ve tried scanning and repairing the game, reinstalling, and even went so far as doing a hard fresh reset on the entire pc once those two actions didn’t work. Not sure where to go from here? I highly doubt it has anything to do with the pc specs as they are far better than what I was running the game just fine on my previous VERY old laptop. I even went so far as trying to install the game in a different/created folder.

The error reads:
“Program: C:\Users/black/Desktop/wow2/World of Warcraft_classic_era_\WowClassic.exe
Exception: ACCESS_VIOLATION - The instruction at “0x00000267c7fc02c0” referenced memory at “0x00000267c7fc02c0”.
The memory could not be “executed”.
ProcessID: 14092
ThreadID: 10392

Press OK to terminate the application”

I wonder if it’s not a permission issue due to the install not being under the Program Files directory (Windows). But you said you tried different directories. There should be a crash log stored in the install path, that might help. Also run a dxdiag and msinfo

dxdiag

That should be lastest update. Edit

I’m also wondering if you have a dedicated gpu to test, your system is reporting 8GB total memory, with 3GB for graphics. Not sure if you can upgrade the memory?

I’m not sure how to check the all in ones for upgrades.

The ram can be upgraded to 32 gigs would recommend at least 16 gigs because of the shared GPU
It takes laptop Crucial 16GB DDR4-3200 SODIMM CT16G4SFRA32A.

Has M.2 slot.

I would guess it very well could be running out of ram. with only 8 gigs and 3 being used for the GPU its likely that it does not have enough ram to run the game

It does not have a slot for a GPU.

I would try manualy editing your config. WTF to set everything to the lowest setting. and set wow to DX 11

SET gxApi “D3D11”

So upgrading the RAM with said upgrade would allow me to play more of the newer games out today?

In all honesty probably not the GPU is very weak it would probably run well fine with more memory.
