So you want things really basic, streamlined, and simple.
And then we wonder why the game is what it is today.
I like turtles.
Cackles and wiggles toes
How horrific it would be for the game to actually tell people what they were expected to do, instead of deliberately obfuscating the requirements! That would mean the end of civilization as we know it!
@ OP, Maybe it’s cuz you’re a rogue now (hehe jk)
not to mention, some of those more simple raids with fewer modes, were some of the most memorable and iconic…had nothing to do with their complexity lol (specifically, Ulduar…what a lovely time that was)
i think people care about loot and stuff, not so much how hard the fights are.
With that said, I would like to push more red buttons in game.
I don’t think we’d of rolled into this expansion with Covenants if we had any say in it.
Theres too much to do for a fresh 60, it makes you feel like quiting even before you think of quiting. The old days had a much simpler directive.
Seemed to work really well for wow in the past. You know, back when it was much more successful and fun.
Thank you for your post. You are consistent with your views regarding WoW and are always pushing endgame content. You are a valued member of the WoW community.
If there wasn’t as much for a new lvl 60 character to do, you’d have people making the same complaints they are now, just much sooner.
At 60, more of the game opens up. You have more options for how to proceed. And if you find that confusing, there are plenty of guides out there for you to follow.
tedious…monotonous…mindnumbing…
which is why Im running old content that I DO enjoy.
Are you saying there’s just not much to do in wow, a game with 16 years worth of content?
I think it’s healthy for some things to be pretty simple, personally. I like simplicity in designs and systems. You know the saying, less is more.
I don’t want the challenging part of the game to be accessibility. I want it to exist in the encounters themselves.
God forbid you get a interesting and active way to start hard mode let alone its part of the aesthetic.
I really wonder if that means its OPs fault for the developers making a convoluted mess of systems that like to delete any progress you have made with new systems (legendaries/new sockets)
Old content is fun.
I admit it!
It not so much it is tedious in my opinion, it is the requirement of attaining “stuff” you need to be tied to a laborious system that rewards the unemployed and shut in to attain the best “stuff” in the game when the “average Joe” pays the same amount each month and doesn’t get a shot at the same stuff but has to run “old content” to have fun because they again, aren’t unemployed whatnot to complete that content. it is a harsh system for a game that includes a sub each month.
Also “the best stuff” doesnt even feel good. The gear this xpac is just bad. They listened to streamers about power creep so now we get poop gear.
Maybe that is part of it but I have plenty of free time. But given the choice I am still doing more with old content than current content.
When players freely choose to do more old content than current content then the current design of content is problematic. BC excitement is also another feather in the cap supporting this notion of players choosing BC over current retail.
I agree actually streamers are good for business bad for people who don’t have the same play style.
