Game is too repetitive =(

I did like a lot of the campaign stuff and it’s just very too repetitive. Go kill A and then loot and then go kill B and then loot and watch a cut scene and campaign is done then go to another zone and do the same repetitive stuff again. I’m actually kind of bored of it and this is just my own oinion… I was enjoying it at first but hey what can you do. Not trying to be a hater or anything but this is my opinion.

That describes 90% of all games.

That is literally what World of Warcraft has been for the past 20 or so years. If you can’t see past “go kill this go loot that go watch this” then maybe Hello Kitty: Island Adventure is more your taste

Hey, I haven’t had to clean up :poop:

I’m good.

This may not be the game for you anymore

Maybe MMOs aren’t for you.

Well reaching a new zone used to be a cool achievement before everybody had flying for free.

But there are a lot of “nothing quests” in WoW. Where they aren’t difficult or engaging at all, the only fun you could get from them is the story and funny dialogue (if you’re into that.)

The best parts or the rare mobs (mini bosses). Idk why every quest aren’t tuned like those, they are way more fun and engaging than piling up 20 mobs to aoe them down.

Also when you follow the campaign it just feels so restrictive. Like you’re on rails. Back in wotlk you actually could choose which zones to level in, which quests to do and which to skip. The only time they’ve done this recently was in BFA and that was faction locked. And swapping factions is way less viable than how Northrend was structured.

Leveling/questing has a lot of problem. And the funny thing nobody really disagrees. There are just some people who hate leveling so much they scoff at the idea that it could ever be good.

It’s a real shame that there is literally no other part of the game than doing quests.

Leveling was only really fun and viable in Vanilla. TBC and after, everyone knew that the majority of the content was endgame so the goal was to get to it as quickly as possible to enjoy the raids, dungeons and PvP it had to offer.

The flaw in the old zone design is that you were pigeon holed into chosing 1 or at most 2 zones to advance to after finishing the one you’re in. Being able to go to whichever zone you want to level in is a vast improvement.

Majority of all MMOs.

Spreadsheet collector FOMO simulator.

I disagree. I think leveling in WoD, Legion, and BFA is noticeable more fun than SL, DF, and TWW.

Mostly because of level scaling. But I also place blame on flying and the new talent tree.

Being able to go to whichever zone you want to level in is a vast improvement.

I don’t think so. The main motivation in virtually any game to beat a level is to see the next level. If you could just see all of the levels in mario at any time it removes most of the motivation to even complete the levels.

And most players are just going to follow the MSQ, which will take them thru every zone in a linear order.

Do people not understand what a trial account is? Why wait until you paid for a sub to see if you like a game?

You can do that now. In both DF and TWW, you can choose which zone you want to go to, and you can swap between zones at any time. Perhaps you are thinking of SL, in which we did have to follow the zone order Blizzard wanted us to follow.

No? I tried DF. And I tried flying to another zone. Half of the quests were locked/unavailable.

Heck, half of the NPCs don’t even load in until an event is triggered via the MSQ it seems.

To each their own I guess. To me leveling has always been a chore and something to knock off the list to get to the good part of the game (ie. the endgame). The only time I enjoyed it was during Vanilla WoW and it wasnt because of zone design. It was because the game was fresh and most people didn’t know much about it so everyone was grinding.

Once more and more people realized there was raids, dungeons, and PvP that awarded the best in game items at max level, everyone looked to get there ASAP. It’s why TBC and on leveling was made faster and faster. Blizzard didn’t do it on a whim. They did it because it was the popular option and what most players wanted.

There is a quest at Wingrest Embassy that you can pick up shortly after arriving at the Dragon Isles that gives you the option of choosing which zone to go to. In fact, you can choose the starting quest for all four zones if you want.

Perhaps you didn’t pick that up.

Yea I’ve always thought end game in WoW was it’s worst content. Especially before M+. Heroic dungeons were some of the most boring stuff I’ve ever done in WoW. It’s so repetitive, and doesn’t even guarantee good rewards. And raids require scheduling, and can only be done once a week. I’ve always liked PvP, but I need good questing content to supplement it.

This game is an MMO. MMO is a game of grind. It’s a game where you do repeated activities doing them over and over.

Like at max level, what do you do?

You do dungeons over and over until you get all its loots from its loot list.

Then you do M+, what do you do?

You start at M0, do it on all dungeons to get a Mythic Score Rating. Repeat until you beat all the dungeons.

Then you climb to upper keys, few steps at a time, do it on all dungeons to get higher M Score rating.

You do this repeatedly til you get KeyStone Master (KSM) at 2000 M Rating.

Then you continue to climb keys from M+7 to M+10, and you do this repeatedly til you get Keystone Hero (KSH) at 2500 M Rating.

Then you continue to climb higher keys to get KeyStone Legend at 3000 M Rating.

You can also do Delves repeatedly from Tier 1 to Tier 11.

Then you do Overcharged Delves repeatedly to get OC91 Chariot Mount.

You can also do Raids starting at LFR. Do it repeatedly until you are geared for Normal Raid. Do it repeatedly until you are geared fro Heroic Raid. Do it repeatedly until you are geared for Mythic Raid.

Or you collect Mounts. You look at target for certain Bosses that drop mount. And you do it repeatedly until it drops.

Etc. etc, etc.

Everything in here is REPEATED. Everything is a grind.

If you don’t like grinding, you are in a wrong game. If you do, don’t play an MMO. Play something else like a Single Player Game.
