Every system in wow is designed to make you play more, and longer. It’s quite frankly a malicious business approach.
Arbitrarily gating everything daily and weekly so that you get behind if you don’t log in and do them. Sure they aren’t mandatory, but if you don’t do them you “feel” behind. They psychologically manipulate the playerbase into playing more hours if you want to do or keep up with content. It’s vicious.

It’s gonna be a year or close to it before flight in SL. I wouldn’t call that quick.
Comparing a paid for Video Game to any physical team sport is utterly ridiculous.

Most of the people saying that seem to have trouble understanding they’re paying for game access, not for voting shares in the company or a therapist. lol

This isn’t true. Flight is already tied to renown and we know we get it in 9.1
The poster means that 9.1 will not arrive for a while.
I’m going to disagree with the op on this; the game is exactly the same as what he’s describing. It’s been like this since classic/TBC, in fact I would add that we used to have to do dailies. And getting the Flying mount meant you had to literally farm day and night for mats to sell for a MONTH, just to get flying, and about half another month to get the cheesy flying cat/gryphon mount. On top of that you also had to do dailies by force!
the one thing i’m taking from this thread is that i may be able to turn trade chat back on at some point. (if you know what i mean.)
Oh look, another Pyrano thread. Really not surprising at this point.
he does it in game as well, btw.
I’m really not surprised at all. Makes me glad I am not on Wyrmrest Accord.
Bruhhh I dont even know you.
Also I don’t really talk in trade besides the occasional reference to Twitch memes so try again.
i don’t talk in trade mostly because it’s pointless. but that doesn’t mean i haven’t seen you, and been annoyed by you, when i’ve been in cities.
Now that’s just rude
This sounds like a you problem tbh. Also I am impressed at myself since I only moved to WRA in like December and I hardly play.
Anyway, let’s get back on topic pls!
Reg dungeons stopped being meaningful after first raid tier
yeah game sux, just play 20 min a day

Again they just don’t want casuals playing. They don’t want to have to create casual content, they don’t want to have to pretend to support a casual playstyle. They want us out so all they are left with is people who are satisfied with endlessly running M+, raiding, and rated PVP.

ok due to this convo i also want to download ESO but are you playing the recent expac or what? and do I have to create an account ?
I’m doing ok finding things to putz around with. At first I thought gearing might be a problem even at my level of puttering around and getting stuff to use. It was not an issue at all with the covenant system of upgrading your covenant gear.
For things to do there is still the old things to do, random pvp, pet battles, dungeons and looking for pve stuff. Gathering for professions, multiple characters, getting your weekly things accomplished and sniping wq for whatever reason. I like to think Blizzard is thinking of people who don’t do the “true” endgame stuff and are trying to come up with things to do. The upgrade to convent and pvp gear is a good move. They are heading in the right direction with the covenant side-show. However other than the Necrolord’s Abomination Factory it’s a little lacking. The stuff is ok but people are locked to the activities of their covenant.
Long story short, so far I’ve been able to entertain myself, we will see in 6 more months or so if that is still the case.
It’ll be 9-12 months from the time 9.1 is out and we get the renown to fly. That’s close to a year in my estimation.
