Opening loot from seed event on Arathor, game frozen. Closed out client and restarted. No characters listed on that realm, but I can log into other realm characters.

I am also on Arathor - can’t load character screen for Arathor or Drenden, which is connected to it.
There seems to have been a rather large lag/freeze spike. Some made it through, some got dc’d. There is (or at least was) clearly some issue that flickered in. Hoping it’s cleared up quickly!
Close to the same happened to me. I finished a climbing quest, then was teleported to a spot nearby - but was stuck in climbing gear ui and unable to leave it (tried to /reload). Couldn’t log out. Closed WoW, tried to log back in, all characters missing from server screen, unable to even create a character. Characters do exist on other servers though.
Chars not loading on Bladefist, Kul Tiras , Will load on Dentarg, and Kel,Thuzad

Happened on Eitrigg too. I had just spent almost all of my currency into a rare emerald bounty and it was just about to drop the send when it happened…not cool…
Have a black character screen now on Eitrigg and Shu’halo. If I go to Stormrage server I can see my toons on that server though.

Same issue for me. Was looting something game froze, black character screen on Arathor. Other servers are fine.

Rexxar/Misha for me for Retail WoW.
I logged in roughly at 1:45 PM Central on this character and flew near the area “Call of the Dream” takes you. NPC’s didn’t show up, so I went to log off, and it didn’t take me to the character selection screen. It just had the game running with the in-game environment I was in, animations running and all, but with me unable to move my character.
I closed the game, waited a minute for Battle Net to finish doing its thing in Task Manager, and relaunch the game. The character selection screen shows up black. I can switch servers which thankfully show the number of characters I have on both my servers (Rexxar/Misha), but it doesn’t load or list them in the list area. It does load the background when I do that, but no characters.
Not using any addons nor have I ever used any before. I tried to close the game a few times afterwards, waited a bit, and went to login again, and the same results happen each time. I’m completely unable to see my characters or play the game.

Same thing just happened to me on Aegwynn as well.
Yeah, none of my characters on Crushridge-US are showing. The server list still shows how many characters I have there, but its just empty and greyed out. My characters on Gul’dan-US are all still there.

Blank character list for me as well on Garrosh and Aegwynn.
Same for me on Crushridge.
Bit of an update: I left the blank character selection screen on for a bit, and it brought my characters back after a bit.
Attempted to log into this character, and the loading bar has been stuck for several minutes. I haven’t tested with any other characters yet if they can login or not.
Will update more as I see any other changes.
