Game freezing requiring a restart

I honestly don’t know if this is on my end or an addon causing it, but it started happening today.

In a BG and game freezes. The mouse is working fine, alt tabbing and doing anything else is working fine, it’s basically just the game itself freezing (even the in game cursor works fine during freeze). I get that Windows “program not responding” prompt and I have to close game.

I’m guessing this isn’t a GPU thing since everything else other than the game itself is working without issue?

Happens to me in BGs, starting today as well.

Do you have any of these addons:

Can I Mog it

All the Things

Accountant

Advanced Tooltips

I disabled them all and completed a BG without a freeze, might be one of those, if I had to guess it’s All The Things

This has been happening to me as well and has only just now started today on retail

I am trying to eliminate add-ons one by one. Clean BG run with just TMW and GladiatorlosSA, will see.

Edit: Looks like it’s BattleGroundEnemies for me

I’ve been having random freezing crashes (have never experienced crashes before) in BGs, Dungeons and Raids.

I have no idea how to further troubleshoot this - everything is up to date. I deleted the interface files (wtf, interface, cache) and all the addons’, etc. I can’t play :frowning:

edit: Using -nosound in the consple settings stops the crashes for me, but no ihave no audio

Freezes happened to me during a LFR run on my alt. Seems to happen when displaying a lot of particle effects. Fully updated Windows 11 Pro, AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, Nvidia RTX 3070, 32GB RAM, all drivers are up to date.

Exact same thing is happening to me, just started over the last 3-4 days or so for me.

EDIT: I updated BGE before seeing this and did one BG with no crash. Will see if that was the issue.
