Game freezing in Empyrean Domain and Enigma Crucible

Since DF launch I’ve been experiencing video lag/freezing but specifically in Enigma Crucible and Empyrean Domain right about when the gates open. The game lags out, freezes and the window gets restored (I run the game on window mode). After a couple of seconds I’m back in the game and need to maximize the screen back.

I’m running the game on graphics quality 2. Back in SL I was on ultra and never had issues. My graphics card firmware is up-to-date. I got a GeForce GTX 1080 Ti.

Does anyone know which video setting could be causing this? Is anyone else experiencing this?

I was having this issue but my laptop had a small amount of RAM. Updated that and haven’t had any issues.

Are you hitting the memory cap when too many spells start slinging?

You will have better luck in the technical support forum, just fyi, some real good and helpful people there that can probably find the root cause really fast, especially if you collect the diagnostic data for them with that one tool

UPDATE:
Just updating here hoping it might help others. My issue was with VIRTUAL SYNC in graphics settings. Enabling it fixed the issue.

I haven’t checked the memory situation but I wouldn’t think so. It happens very randomly. Like today I was in the starting room in Enigma and it froze 3x before the gates opened. No one was casting any spells other than buffs etc.

Thx for the tip. I just thought I’d post here first to see if anyone else has experienced.

I’m starting to suspect it might be an addon or something …
