Game freezing / crashing - sometimes 51900319

Hey all,
Typical forum lurker here. I’ve been having this issue since the start of the expansion. Yes that’s right. I’ve done all of your typical UI resetting, deleting folders, scan/repair, reinstall. In that time I have built a new PC and still continue to have this problem. I’ve been in contact with my ISP to investigate routing etc, yet no solutions have worked.

I’ve been playing this game since BC with some breaks in between and have never had any kind of issue that wasn’t resolvable so here I am hoping we can figure this out. Hoping a blue post pops up about this widespread issue that isn’t getting very much attention.

What I’ve observed and possible patterns:
The disconnects do seem random, although they can often happen when I’m just standing in Dornogal. They usually occur in M+ dungeons/delves or instanced content.
The disconnects occur way more regularly after 5pm. Some evenings I can go with 1 or no disconnects at all, but mostly not.

They sometimes happen when I’m transmogging on my yak mount for more than a couple minutes.

The world / home pings are not drastically different when they occur, usually within a couple ms of eachother.

When it happens I have to alt+f4 because the “catch up” that some people get after 5-10 sec or longer does not happen for me. I am able to log back in quickly with no issues, but am usually dead due to an avoidable mechanic i couldnt avoid if im in combat.

Here is my dxdiag:

Mind you, this has happened to me countless times at this point, have tweaked every game setting, etc. So please don’t reply with a “uncheck this box in game” or whatever because I’ve tried every possible combination of game settings to try to get this to not happen. I’ve also flushed dns, reset ip.

I’ve read that some people think this is a Windows 24H2 issue. If it were, why isn’t everyone having this problem?

Before this started happening, I took a break during Dragonflight and had not been introduced to “warband” account wide stuff until I returned. Disconnects have happened since.

Battle.net launcher stays open and logged in when it occurs, no other apps are affected.

You have a lot of live kennel events most of which are issues windows could not identify. A single 141 which is usually gpu related and a blue screen.

There are thousands of different configurations for people’s computers. 24H only has issues with certain configurations of hardware and software.

Test after each step below. To see if the issue is resolved

Would start with dusting out you rig and reseating the graphics card and ram

Make sure you network adapter drivers are up to date you will want to go to the manufacturer if you network adapters website to get the most current drivers

Uninstall and reinstall your GPU drives. Use DDU to remove them and then reinstall

Check windows for any issues. The link below is how to run windows file checker

Next test the ram

Thanks for reply Northern.
I completed the steps you provided. The system file checker found and replaced some corrupted files. Uninstalled drivers with DDU and reinstalled. Completed all without issue.

First dungeon back in the game I disconnect 3 times.

Next I would update your network card drivers. Looks like you have a hyperx network adapter?
