I just recently started playing Classic and have never had this problem up to this point. Every time I kill an enemy my game freezes for about 3 or 4 seconds and nothing seems to help. I tried restarting and changing graphic settings but neither work. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Do you have addons installed? If so disable them all and see if it still happens. If it doesn’t you know it’s an addon. Then you systematically enable them one at a time till you figure out which one it is.

I know this may be unrelated to your issue, but my game would freeze every time I looted Ice Cold Milk. And I noticed it was because of the winter viel quest Treats for Great-father Winter. I deleted the quest and it was fine after that.
Anyway, my only real suggestion is what Rozen has said. Might be an addon. Might need to do a scan and repair. Reinstall. graphics drivers. I’m sure something is bound to work

Always check your addons first. They are likely the culprit.
Try disabling all addons. See if it still happens and reply back.
I used to swap gear in my druid to flag carry and every time it swapped I’d lag. Found out that an addon was doing way too many calculations to recalc my stats (deja stats addon), so I disabled it and was smooth sailing.
Stuff like that is why I only have a threat meter and DBM.

It was quite possibly Questie broadcasting openly. That happens sometimes, especially in large groups (like, for example, looting a quest mob in a raid). It’s an option you can disable too.

I was just questing on my own, so not sure. But I disabled a bunch of other addons and it fixed it.

Yeah my quest is was the problem it would make me lag for a couple seconds after the kill
Questie did this for me in a raid once.
