Tons of people are reporting FPS issues both here and on reddit. A lot of them seem to have high end PCs including myself. When is this going to be addressed?
Before anyone runs in, i have a 4080 super, intel i7 14700k, 32gb of ddr5 ram. WoW is the only game that is having issues and i had to bump everything down to high to get close to a stable frame rate.
I struggle with this also, I average 24-30 fps in raid with a 3070 at the lowest graphic settings.
I had to leave raid yesterday because it was unplayable and I also took the decision to completely drop from the raid group to avoid being a dead weight for progression.
Poor FPS when you play a high APM class is terrible, you just can’t play optimally.
What kind of performance are you getting? Whats your FPS in major cities and in open world? What resolution do you play at? do you use the little 1-10 slider to adjust your graphics and if so whats it set to? dx11 or 12? Are you running addons?
I’m running a rtx 2080, with a ryzen 7 2700x, 32gb ddr4. My game is set to 2560x1440, quality set to 10/ultra, dx12, have about 10 addons running including TSM. I get about 80fps open world 40fps in Dornogal. Haven’t been in any raid content yet so I cant comment on that.
1440p, dx12, before i had on 10 and all set to ultra no ray tracing, i set cap to 120 fps and was mostly hitting that. Now ive had to bump everything down to high, i get mostly 80 to 90 open world, dornagal 60s, raid down to 50s. I run a handful of addons, dbm, tomtom, rarefinder, auctionator and weekly profession knowledge. Ive reinstalled, ive lowered settings even lower and also disabled all add ons and as many are reporting, none of that is working. It is not a pc/user issue, it is a bad game optimization issue that seems to be mostly effecting people withbnewer gpu/cpu from what i have gathered from the reddit post
Yeah your FPS at high should not be comparable to mine at ultra with me having a 6 year old GPU and an older Ryzen. You’re right, It sounds like bad optimization for newer GPUs.
There was, however, a big issue that Intel was having with their 13th and 14th gen CPUs causing crashing, unsure if related though. (Prob not)
I’ve been having major FPS issues with this week’s patch. Last week I was shocked at how well raid was running considering quite a few fights in Dragonflight gave me issues. I’m on a Ryzen 7800X3D, and a GeForce 2070 Super, 32 GB of DDR5. I know the GPU is a little dated but should be plenty for WoW, and it doesn’t seem to be a GPU issue considering changing the graphics doesn’t seem to have a massive impact on FPS. Going to keep troubleshooting, make sure drivers are up to date, disable addons, but something happened between last week and this week where my performance has tanked.
I can also speak to these FPS issues happening lately. I’ve only noticed it after TWW release (potentially matching the season launch). I can’t recall this ever being an issue for me in Dragonflight.
I’ve noticed that sometimes the lag hits everyone in the group (in a raid). Last night our raid literally all started laughing because we all froze at the same time for about 3 seconds.
This is the only game with fps issues, ive tested numerous others, no issues. I know of thr intel issues, i have had no crashes and just bought the pc new in may
Ive been having FPS issues ever since the 2nd or 3rd patch after prelaunch…like 1 week prior to everything being released as in pvp season and things. never had an issue b4 this xpac
