Just upgraded my computer and did a fresh install of WoW. Went onto Twitch/Curse and downloaded my add ons. Opened WoW, and saw the cut scene, then went onto character screen, selected character, went to loading screen, the blue progress line stops shortly before the end, and the game disconnects.
I’ve run a repair - no success in getting the game to start.
I’ve restarted my computer several times - no success in getting the game to start.
Message says "You have been disconnected from the server. (WOW51900319).
been dealing with that for the last 3 days. ive tried almost everything with no luck, havent had a chance to try the other stuff yet. but we have 2 other PC’s in the house with the same concern. Contacted my ISP and they said all was good. Even was able to talk to support. most looked good, but still gave some ideas as to what to try.
Support had an idea about doing a hard restart on the modem but havent had a chance to do it yet. do to other people online. Its only seems to affect BFA WoW, classic works fine. So still trying as well…You are not alone… I’ll keep posted if i get anything to work
Appreciate that. I’m going doing yet another install of WoW, and this time not installing add ons, to see if the game loads. No modem changes here - but might explore the hard restart on modem and post here. Telstra is ISP.
Could be a patch issue or a DDOS attack clogging up the login servers. I believe some of the Classic realms were getting hit with them yesterday.
Same issue here though, stuck loading characters into dungeons/zones, black screen at character screen etc.
Ive only been running some boosted characters but have been getting stuck on them when attempting to zone into TW dungeons, raids or between zones. Stuck at 3/4 loading bar over and over.
I’ve been having this issue since the weekend as well. I’ve actually managed to notice some quirks to the issue. It seems like overnight, I have no problem getting on and playing, swapping realms, or any of the above listed problems. However, I was able to be online when the issue hits every morning since Sunday.
On Sunday morning, the problem started at 9:00 am (I’m using EST times as that’s where I am), Monday it hit at Noon, Tuesday it hit at 9:00 am again, and this morning it hit at 10:00 am. While the timing of it becoming playable again changes by the day, it usually becomes playable in the late afternoon/evening.
My game stops responding but looks like the same sequence of events. Yesterday when I ran the blizzard launcher wow updated and I had not been able to past the loading screen after selecting any of my characters.
The is another wow player in the house who had not played for several days so did not have that update yet. Got them to run wow directly and they got into game fine. Copied their wow directory to my machine then put my Interface and WTF directories in place and I got in game 1st go.
The working version is 8.2.5 32305 and the failing version is 32494. Every time I copy the old version and put my Interface WTF directories in place it works. Every time I run the launcher and let it update I can not get past the loading screen.
Same issue, Arizona, Cox Internet. Windows 10, had the issue last week, resolved by resetting windows 10 to factory default. Windows attempted the November update last night, failed, and rebooted. This morning I am once again unable to load a character in BFA.
Character select screen comes up, character image loads, pet loads but when I select the character I get a blank log in screen and no progress on the loading bar. Game freezes here
Turned off all of my addons after having some problems and on that character, I was able to zone/enter a raid etc.
Logged in a second character and Im currently lagged out while everyone around me is running in place. I cant even log out correctly from the client. Had no addons and it still turned into this.
Might be another AV program doing the same thing in reference to the newest windows update. If you have an active AV program (you should) you may try uninstalling it to see if that resolves the issue. I am hoping my AV will update to fix this within the coming week.
