So it’s apparently a known bug, where you leave Lunarfall Garrison via the north(?) road and the game disconnects. And any time you try to log back in, it just disconnects again. The fix has been to use the self-serve character unstuck option, so I did that and it…didn’t actually move my character despite saying it was okay to log back in to her now. I’ve tried the other fixes to no avail and I’m honestly just trying to find a way to talk to someone and ask if there’s another way to fix it but I keep getting sent in a loop of fixes and being sent to the character unstuck thing (which I can only use every 4 hours per character, so not exactly helpful). So if I can’t actually talk to anyone at Blizz, does anyone here know another fix that might work? Also, why don’t any options in the 'Contact Support" pages (in-game or out) actually let me contact anyone?? I wanted to just open a ticket but I literally can’t find a way to do that anymore.
I just had this happen earlier on my lightforged paladin. I couldn’t even use the in-game move character, as it wouldn’t work. I finally managed to get the stuck character to work by going through the process through my authenticator, but I have no idea if it truly moved her or not yet as I had to log off to take care of irl business. If I remember this thread this evening, I’ll come back with news of if the authenticator stuck character route worked or not.
Authenticator route? How would I go about doing that? I didn’t know that still existed, I thought it got folded into the Bnet app. And that one just leads me down the same unhelpful routes as PC and in-game.
The authenticator is the bnet app, but it does have an option to unstuck character. To get there:
- Open the app and click your profile icon, then go to support
- Select WoW as the game needing support
- Search “character stuck”. A lot of options pop up, click one you think sounds relevant and it should link you to the unstuck service at the bottom of the page.
From here, the unstuck service works just like it does in-game. I had to go this route because even logging into an alt to do the service in-game was not working. This way, I recieved a confirmation that she had been moved to “alliance safe graveyard” (I’m assuming this means she should have landed in Westfall). Again, no idea if this will solve the issue because I haven’t had the chance to log back in yet to see if she did indeed get successfully moved there, but it may be worth a shot.
Oh, right okay. Yeah, that’s the one I used and it didn’t work. She just stayed where she was, and it’s got 1 hour left on the cooldown now. ._. Hopefully yours works though!
I would see if the steps they recommend before the unstuck button helps. For the one I read, it said something about doing a scan/repair of the game.
I’ve done that, I’ve reloaded the UI, I’ve tried all the steps they suggest.
Have you tried using the contact option in the app? No idea if it works, but testing it out brought me to a screen to type in my issue rather than the ‘Have you tried X, Y, Z’ customer ticket loop I get in-game.
I type in the issue I’m having and then it takes me to the character stuck options instead of letting me submit a ticket
EDIT: AHAHAHA I BYPASSED IT. My stuck character is a hunter, so I tried logging in and spamming Disengage to get out of the bugged spot in the one second I had before being DC’d and it worked!! What a stupid workaround!
