I have done everything that is listed here in the page titled “World of Warcraft Crashing at Startup” (I can’t include the link here).
This happens both in Wrath and Classic Era. I’m running Windows 10.
I have now tried quite literally everything. I removed all other running programs and processes. I completely uninstalled both games as well as Battle.net using Revo Uninstaller so there were no remaining files or configurations. I removed all configuration files for the games as well. I did /console cvar_default. I restarted Windows 10. I updated my Geforce driver. I reinstalled everything from scratch, I reset the settings from the the launcher. There are no addons installed, there are no configurations whatsoever of my own.
When I start the games (Wrath or Era), sometimes they close as they load. Sometimes they crash a few seconds after I am in the world. If they, for some reason, manage to work, the game will eventually disappear whenever I Alt+Tab to look up something in the browser.
The game is seemingly incapable of working regardless of what I do.

While you wait for assistance, review the Windows Reliability Monitor (Win10) or Reliability History (Win11), which may show you what’s happening in the background to cause any errors.
I saw your other post on this Apolonia. I’ll reply here so we can get this back on track.
Can you explain what happens when the game closes. Is it like a reboot or do you just hit desktop with no popups or anything. Do you play other intensive games?
Thank you so much for your answer. Citra is not installed in my system, it was simply extracted to a folder. Citra doesn’t show on the Revo Uninstaller or the Windows 10 native “Uninstall or change a program” screen.
Citra is unlikely to be the issue. Looking at the Task Manager, no Citra processes or services are currently running.
Nevertheless, as suggested, I searched every file and reference to Citra using Voidtools Everything and deleted everything but the compressed file I downloaded (which, by its very nature, cannot interfere with the system). For good measure, I also uninstalled Microsoft Power Toys and removed all items from the startup.
After that, I rebooted the computer and fired up Classic Era (SoD). The game crashed on the character selection screen.
The are no messages whatsoever, right after I open the game it closes silently seconds later.
