Galakrond. How bad could it get?

“A powerful dragon could be a powerful tool. Alas, gone are the days of Galakrond.”

Some Speculation/Questions/Input on Galakrond, Father of Dragons:

(Assuming he will return in some form)
How bad would it be if Galakrond came back? Was he particularly powerful in any other way
or by any abilities other than being a massive force of destruction and who could benefit from him coming back? Does he affect or influence Azeroth itself in any way?

I would say obviously The Lich King and/Or Yogg-Saron would love to have a big giant dragon of death but what about the Infinite Dragonflight?
Or is Galakrond himself powerful enough to be a force on his own?

Any thoughts?

He could make for a pretty neat raid encounter, I guess?

He’s a big dragon. He could smash stuff very well.

I dunno, after facing the Legion and Deathwing and all the rest, no amount of raw destructive power feels like it could ever matter. We’ve fought plenty of enemies that could stomp cities out of existence if they felt like it, what’s one more?

think of all the chaos deathwing cause, galakrond took deathwing + the other 4 aspects on at once, if he got corrupted in the same way deathwing was that could be equal to x5 cataclysms

The planet got stabbed by a sword the size of a moon and nobody even cares anymore.

If Galakrond were here he could pull the sword out. Obviously we should revive him.

They were powerless protodrakes at the time, only in reward for getting him to choke on a pebble (really) did the titans give them much larger evolved bodies and magic.

Galakrond wasn’t a joke though. He was absurdly huge (deathwing flew down his throat and back out to kick that pebble) and seems to have some old god things going on. He had countless eyeballs and tentacles all over his body, and anyone he killed turned into a powerful zombie version instantly.

I just replayed the quest chain in Dragonblight in which Alexstrasza said that Galakrond was more powerful the all the Flights put together.
The way she Phrased it, it sounded like she meant the Flights as their are now, not just when they were Protodrakes. Then again, she may have just been musing to herself, her memory coloring her opinion.

Just considering her feelings towards him and how she had us stop the Lich King from Raising him then, and that was back when the flights still had their power, I don’t think she’ll let anyone try to do it again, especially not us.

They never beat him or even slightly damaged him. He was infinitely more powerful than their proto-drake versions, and he was gaining power and size the entire time they fought. He was effectively eating all life on the planet.

So they kicked a rock down his throat and he choked on it.

Her age is over and her power is waning. She’s not in the position to stop anyone.

Still not anyone we’d want to make an enemy out of.

I imagine the entirety of the Dragon Flights would still be formidable enough.

But if we, the people of Azeroth, are to bring about our own doom, this would be how we’d do it… And we’d deserve it.

Put it this way: Galakrond is the size of a zone. Like, if you opened up your world map he’d be sitting there on top of Dragonblight.

This would be a problem when it came to fighting him. Not that we couldn’t beat him, because we obviously would, but designers would face the same challenge as the Deathwing fight, times a hundred.

And that fight sucked.
