It is almost impossible to click on quest givers and other NPCs. Part of the problem is players camp on their large mounts. I’ve come and gone lots of times and the same people always seem to be just sitting there. Blizzard needs to do like they did with the Trading Post, make players dismount when entering the area. Why does Blizzard allow a few rude players to spoil the fun for the rest of us?
The gift quest in Feralas is just as bad.

Hmm I must play on the off hours. Everytime Iʻve visited the Stormwind area its been barren of players.
Never been to the Faralas thing yet.
Blizz capped mount sizes at 50% increased effect.
As you have noticed, that solved nothing because the issue is one of location. Yet for some reason their first thought when designing such things is not where to put the dismount zones.

It has been almost 2 hours since the reset. How long should I wait, till all the little kids are in bed?
It’s not a perfect solution, but make sure you have an interact keybind selected. If you can’t click the NPCs, getting close enough and hitting your interact key will get you where you need to be. Sorry you’re having such trouble with it!

There’s an interact button that you should use. It doesn’t matter how many people there are if you use it
I haven’t logged on in quite a while but I believe it’s f by default

the extra time it takes to find the NPC to click on inside the rude players mount adds up.
Over the last X amount of years, youve probably paid for a week of game time you didnt use because you were trying to find an NPC to click.
It adds up.
I’ll bet you are one of the large mount people I was referring to.
Nope. Imma dorf. We small anyway.
^ This. I can’t remember what it is either, tbh.
You can also show NPC nameplates. I used to have to do that because I have a vision problem and this issue was especially inconvenient for me. But I could find the big blue bar to click on instead.
And if you can find the interact button (I used to know it too but forgot since I’ve not had to do this in years XP), you can just /target NPC name and hit that.
I admit people are rude and your complaint is valid. You shouldn’t have to find work-arounds like this, but at least they exist.
Anyway, hope that helps.

nah… i just use /tar and the interact keybind.
It’s almost like everyone is there for the holiday event daily quests…
It should just be an auto dismount area because these goofs just can’t play nice with others. Yes, you have a big drake. So does everyone else who’s played longer than a day, so get over it. Now get off it for 20 seconds so others can see too. ![ ](https://d38bqls1q93fod.cloudfront.net/en/wow/images/emoji/twitter/roll_eyes.png?v=12)

At this point I’d be fine with every single quest giver having a circle of dismounting around them.
I mean if you are hanging out on top of a quest giver for more than 20 seconds on a larger mount it is very obvious what your intentions are.

Yeah this always cracks me up too, I would almost find it understandable if they were “showing off,” by being on Invincible, Love Rocket, etc but they’re always on a horrendous vendor mount.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned, but the toy they sell there, eyes for you only, turns all players into floating hearts and can make things easier to interact with
