We had a talent in Dragonflight where once we gathered any ore or herb we’d gain 1 vigor back. As it stands in War Within now we can get 1 vigor back if we farm an herb but not an ore. I believe this is an oversight and needs to be fixed.

Are you saying you are not getting the vigor back when you mine even though you put points in the correct talents? If so, I would report that as a bug. My gatherer alt gets vigor in both herbing and mining.
You need to take the Mining Fundamentals tree. You should get it with the very first point. Same talent tree that eventually lets you mine while mounted too.
Edit: Not even a point. I think you just get it for having the section unlocked.

Ah, so it’s an isolated issue.
Far as I can tell, there’s no more talent for this. I didn’t know what happened to it, I guess its supposed to be available for everyone.
Yes and no. If you do not take the correct talent trees you won’t get vigor back for anything. You have to take Botany for herbing, and Mining Fundamentals for gathering ore. If you only take one of those it won’t work for both; only the gathering profession that you took it for.
If they did indeed take Mining Fundamentals and they are still not getting vigor, then yup, that is a bug.

Not a talent in the skyriding three. You just have to unlock the section of the Mining/Herbalism trees respectively.
Botany for Herbalism.
Mining Fundamentals for Mining.

Yeah. I’ve had this since forever. On my toons that have both herbalism as well as mining, I get vigor for only getting herbs and not when i mine for ore.

Ooof, then I am sorry. I hope they fix the bug soon. 
I should double check that I get vigor when I mine when I log in later. I thought I was, but it could just be that since I was a double gatherer and there are three million herbs around I never noticed if I wasn’t.

It’s either bugged, or you’re mistaken. 0 vigor for mining, and I’m pretty sure it doesn’t even mention that as an option in mining fundamentals.
And yes I have all the trees unlocked with at least 1 point in them

I just tested this on my gatherer (zandalari druid, using exclusively druid flight form, to help narrow this down). i have the 50 points in mining fundamentals (although it’s the very first point in the talent, so one should suffice) and 30 points in botany and I am getting vigor back from both forms of gathering, so it may be a bug specific to certain classes or mounts?

For anyone still confused or thinking it’s bugged:
In Dragonflight there was a Dragonriding Talent that increased your vigor regeneration after harvesting a mining or herb node.
In War Within this talent does not work or has been removed.
In War Within mining and herbalism each have a profession perk as part of a specific specialization that restores 1 vigor when you harvest a node.
You will need to pick up both specializations to get back vigor from harvesting both mines and herbs.
It sounds like you picked it up for herbalism but not mining, hence why you are not getting the vigor back from mining.
If you think it’s bugged, double check that you unlocked the proper specialization for MINING as the herbalism one only affects herb gathering.

It does say so. You just have to go into the Mining Fundamentals tree and hover over the first gem thing. Should tell you that you will get a vigor back for mining.
I also double checked and I am indeed getting vigor back both when I gather and when I mine.

So I am blind, it does say I get 1 vigour when mining.
Blind, not crazy though, definitely bugged for me. No vigour when mining, just double checked 
Edit, I’m super thankful herbalism isn’t bugged as well, since I’d probably just not gather at all

I’ve come back to this post to point out that this issue is actually a bug. I’m playing on my druid right now and I’m not gaining any vigor after collecting herbs whereas I was getting vigor on my other toons. Confirmed. This is a bug.
