Gadgetzan in WoW 2

Righty so, in WoW 2, or the second world revamp, shall we say, do you think we’ll get the gadgetzan we see in Hearthstone? A sprawling New York-style metropoliptic port city? Perhaps the story of tanaris could deal with a large storyline within the city, where we find corruption and double dealing running rampant…and then outside the city, we have the farraki trolls expanding and gaining territory slowly, using relics from ungoro to terraform the landscape!

As much as i’d love to see this, Blizzard is bankrupt of ideas and creativity ATM.

The current team can’t pull it off.

Seeing as everyThing around it was wiped off of the map by deathwing, no.

Well…the hearthstone gadgetzan is post deathwing - in fact it grew because of the trade created by the ocean being right next to the little outpost.

That’s a lot of hypothetical and very specific at that.

I like to propose ideas.:joy:But I’d really like the hearthstone gadgetzan to be in-game. Whatever they do with it is up to them!

Yeah really not seeing the naga letting them get any trade routes in, especially with Nzoth in control of basically the entire sea. Then the bronze dragons likely wouldn’t approve of a massive city filled with people being so close to their domain, that from a lore perspective very few know of, and even fewer allowed entry.

Then ontop of this the silithids which surround the zone and are now evolving to be more lethal, and leading to Cthun being free, once again, and with his minions so close I doubt the city would last.

And then, tanaris is sand. Like, all sand, sand so loose that many creatures burrow and travel beneath it, making building large structures near impossible.

There are infinitely more problems with a city then possibilities of making it.

The current team made Suramar.

Gadgetzan would be like Suramar but… Goblin.

With taller buildings and broken things and tech instead of magic.

Except it already happened. In the books. Gadgetzan became a big city.

In the books.

Traveler, more specifically.

Well yes, but like, it already exists in the lore. It’s alrwady huge and a very profitable port city right now - but they just haven’t updated it by now.
Yes, N’zoth and the naga are an issue, but they always have been. Hasn’t stopped azerothians from going about their lives! And yes, it’s all sandy, but…I mean, beach cities exist irl, this one can too!
