Still haven’t got the drop and i always main paladin. Not the switch class type of player. At this point i don’t think i will ever get it due to bad rng.
Yeah… blessed if i get the weapon, blessed if i don’t.
Amazing how ppl can hate a legendary, it takes a certain amount of skill to develop a weapon that makes players hate it.
It sells tokens. Therefore it will continue.
It looks dope for tmog tho and in a few months thats literally all about it that’ll matter ![]()
How about we stop doing legendaries unless they’re actually going to be legendary?
This axe doesn’t deserve orange text
And let me tell you how broken it is when wrath time walking is out lol
cant help but feel that this was a bait thread for attention just to throw around that stupid acronym “Warthin”
Ummm
Cata - rogue daggers and Tarecgosas wrath
Mists - legendary cloak part 1
Warlords - legendary ring
Legion - they rained from the sky
BFA - legendary cloak part 2, corrupted boogaloo
Shadowlands - they rained from the sky
What are you on about? Every xpac had a legendary or 2. Or 18 in some cases glares at legion and shadowlands
We had legendaries in these expansions in that they were items that were orange, but the universal nature made them very different to how things like shadowmourne or fangs of the father functioned.
Maybe it would have been better to say we hadn’t had class specific disproportionate high value items since cataclysm.
Thori’dal, the Stars’ Fury waves at you
OP is mad about a hyper-targeted legendary not available to everyone. That’s not what the design was for those 4 expansions. Those types of legendaries did not exist then, for anyone, hence, saying “14 years” or whatever is exaggerated because over half of that applies to literally everyone.
And it’s been since vanilla into BC that anyone had a 2H agility option with Atiesh for druids and even longer since enhancement shaman had a legendary weapon. If we want to use time since a spec had access to a legendary as the logic for who is next in line, the 14 years in between strength weapons is not even the longest wait for existing specs in the game…
For what it’s worth in that time we’ve had numerous powerful items that may as well have been legendaries, such as gavel and Jaithys in Shadowlands.
Oh wait those are also 2h strength weapons…
I want to agree with you, but I don’t trust them not to mess it up again, especially after the most recent set of changes to Fyr’alath that was labeled as qualify of life changes but did nothing to actually making the damn thing not aids to use. And as someone else said in the thread, if they are gonna have those low drop chance BS with a bunch of hoops to jump through and a massive gold cost, I don’t want another legendary, I hope STR users don’t get one if they continue on with this current design for legendaries. Fyr’alath has been nothing but a burden to the classes that can use it.

And not only were they 2H strength weapons, but bears needed gavel for BIS which they needed someone to trade them. I understand there are items here or there where a given role does things slightly outside the norm where an item that is technically offspec is BIS, but there is absolutely no world where sacrificing all main stat on a weapon for a special effect for that item should ever be BIS. That’s a pretty big failure on the itemization for a season.
Yeah, at the end of the day Blizz either needs to stop making legendaries…or realize that they can’t balance the classes around legendaries and let the people who get them actually be OP.
Having legendaries and not letting the classes who use it be OP is the worst of those 2 options because it entirely defeats the point.
They really need to just abandon legendaries, most of the time they kinda ruin the class balance or fun you could have and makes recruiting or raid spots a mess.
Every single interaction i had with legendaries existing in this game were bad socially/grind/frustration wise.
Time to move on blizz
what time line is this?
If we count gavel, which we should because that thing was stronger than most legendaries ever put into the game, it’s 2.
By that logic, we just had that: Gavel of the First Arbiter.
