Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but 9.1 and 9.2 were most likely made at home.
DF is hommade. Like the soup.
W4H having a negative impact is more of a problem with Blizzard than anything else. If other companies make it work amazingly well, no reason they canât.
Their business structure is a bloated mess.
Donât mind me, just going to cite more of these âbiased findingsâ
In a University of Chicago research paper, scientists found that nearly six in ten of their survey respondents reported higher productivity when working remotely, while only 14% proved less productive. On average, remote work productivity was over 7% higher than in-office productivity.
That shouldnât be surprising. A major benefit from remote work comes from doing away with the daily commute. Workers on average devote approximately 35% of their saved time from not commuting to their primary job, according to research at the University of Chicago. Given that people spend an average of nearly an hour per day on commute travel alone, and additional time on other commute-related tasks, this adds up to substantial additional time worked.
Indeed, a research study from Harvard University published in the National Bureau of Economic Research finds a large increase in the amount of time worked by remote workers compared to in-office workers. Evaluating the impact of the lockdowns in 16 large cities in North America, Europe, and the Middle East on knowledge workers, the researchers found an increase in the average workday of 8.2%, or 48.5 minutes.
And more recent research showed that remote work productivity actually increased throughout the pandemic. Stanford University researchers doing a longitudinal study comparing productivity at different time periods found that remote workers were 5% more efficient than office-based ones in the summer of 2020. But this number improved to 9% by summer 2022. Why? Because all of us learned how to be better at remote work.
Boss says get back to work then get back to work. Bottom line.
Those other expansions were bad because they didnt listen to the players.
Cannot wait till Blizz is moved out of California to a more business friendly state.
Its still way too early to judge if DF is good or not. The really buggy launch was pretty bad and there is very noticeable flaws to the gameplay loop.
Those were because they didnt listen to players wants and feedback not where they worked.
Get back to work because your boss said to. PERIOD! You dont like it then quit and go work elsewhere.
Accountability.
I guess you canât simply answer a simply contradiction in your thoughts.
Iâm not out of the loop and I definitely know about this topic. Youâre half right, just looking from the WRONG perspective (renting market).
Iâm old enough to remember in the early years of the internet when its communications benefits were being revealed, there was this big theory going around that soon people would be working from a distance because the availability of that connection would make physical workplaces obsolete.
Iâm not sure about other countries, but in Australia we have something called Open Universities. While not every degree is obtainable that way, a great many are, and aside from a limited set of classes you are required to attend on campus, you get the same degree through the OU system as the on-campus students.
If Universities can manage their courses that way, Iâm not sure how most business canât. Then again, Iâm not an expert in business practices so there may be situational requirements Iâm not aware of.
Or listing them for ridiculously high rent for example 1 bed room apt $2000.00 a month

Then youâre making blind assumptions. The flow of the conversation was that I made a point, in a sarcastic tone, was saying that the work conditions at Blizzard for female employees is terrible. And your response was âItâS eVeRyWhErE iN tHe GaMiNg InDuStRyâ like everyone isnât already aware of that. Yes my poorly guided friend. Everyone is aware of that and the point is that it needs to change.
The disgust from me personally comes from everything having happened there in those offices only to tell female employees essentially to stop complaining or find a new place of employment. Which was again, one of the things you stated. Your stancepoint is unhelpful, ignorant and devoid of empathy.
Because if itâs WOKE to say that employees should not have to be subjected to terrible conditions without having to worry about their employment and livelihood outside of work, then all youâre showcasing personally is why itâll never be possible. Which is that people will constantly make excuses for why things are terrible
Itâs some weird kind of victim shaming that Iâve seen a lot regarding the controversies at Blizzard. âTo some degree itâs their own fault because they couldâve just left, amirite??â.
Yeah dude. Anything that the bosses say goes. Especially the ones that were trying to harrass their own employees. Truly it was the employees who were at fault for not bending over backwards ![]()
I mean yeah. To some degree it is.
If you find yourself standing in dog poo, move. Stop standing in it.
Its not your fault it happened, but you do have some power to stop it.
Absolutely psychotic take. Seek help
More psychotic to just keep taking the abuse.
Many people rely on these jobs because there are no real alternatives available or they would earn significantly less elsewhere and they need the money to support their families. I wonder why youâre not able to think about something like that.
Many years ago during job training I got mental trauma from having to work in an environment that I absolutely hated because of the nasty people there. But I couldnât get out because if I did, I wouldnât have found a similar job and I needed the money. I just couldâve gotten a minijob at the grocery store and that wouldnât have been enough. So I had to stay there and fight. I believe many other people are in the same boat as I was.
People need money to survive. Here we have a saying that one canât just survive with some air and love.
Just quoting myself so I donât have to re-explain it. Often times itâs not as easy as you think. âJust leave lolâ is often not an option. And the fact that people actually would want to leave but canât because they rely on the job makes the situation much worse.
Itâs actually really disgusting to shame the workers if they donât leave during ongoing abuse.
Imagine crying because you were told to go back to work lmao
Imagine being so simple minded that you donât understand that work was being done from home
