What do you think will happen after The Last Titan? Another saga with expansions as usual? WoW 2? Maybe an MMO with a new IP?
This. The other two will never happen.
I think it depends on how profitable the game is at the time.
I prophesy the end of wow in the last titan, instead, they will announce an mobile rpg game inspired by the world of warcraft universe
The WoW servers might shut down for at least a while around the year of 2030. After that, I hope the game can get a new lease of life, better than even the game in our time.
Hope so. With complete mount reset and transmog reset. One or two continents and no cluttered systems.
Khadgar is revealed to be a vampire and is not going down easy!
I don’t know, but I’d rather see more depth than more content. More content means even more work for a player to complete it all. I’d rather see more reasons to care about all the zones, characters, and plots that already exist.
For example: nowadays we see herds of obsolete class trainers in nearly every major settlement. Why? They’re only there to serve as a reminder of the hollowness of NPCs when they’re not there to support the mechanics of the game.
Depends on how the saga goes. If it is a hit, they’ll do another. On the other hand if it is not well received they will go back to a single expansion/story.
I have no idea. I might get a hint after part 3 is released but otherwise, I dunno.
who cares, I will be old af, my bebe will about finish the elementary school…
Would explain a few things about him.
Blizzard taking the FF14 approach, shutting the servers down for a couple years to address things like engine issues, then starting it back up as WoW 2 would probably result in 20 million subs.
Can i get some of what you are using?
You’re crazy if you don’t think there’d be otherworldly hype for that. The addicts would be desperate to play their characters again.
I am the crazy one? People could just play them now, nothing is stopping them. Even more so if they are “Addicts” they are already playing, and if they aren’t playing they are not “addicts”
I dont think WoW will have WoW 2. It will keep releasing expansions after expansion every couple of years. Microsoft acquired ATVI recently, so they are probably on that track.
MMOs wont become a trendy thing again until some new technology drastically changes something.
Whether it be something like advances in VR, etc. But merely a new engine isnt going to do anything to return subs. The people that left WoW didnt go to another MMO. They largely stopped playing MMOs completely. By 2030 they are no where near the target audience to return WoW (or any MMO) to the trendy stage needed for “20 million subs”.
Alright I’m assuming you didn’t fully read what I typed.
I read it, but you are also assuming “addicts would return to play their characters again.” Like Akston said People did not leave to other MMOS and a slight graphic overhaul won’t make people come back either.
again, if they were “addicts” they would still be playing.
