Future of Classic ? (Playstyle)

Quick thread, just want to get some opinions.

For those staying behind in Classic do you think it’ll stay in it’s current Meta (RMT, boosting, GDKP, PTW) or will revert back to an older style RPG approach (leveling, 5 man dungeons, lesser inflation of gear).

I’d like to say the latter due to actual Classic fans staying behind, or those that missed the train and want to experience it. There will likely be less gold farmers since they’ll go to TBC, but you can never underestimate the greed of capitalism. Then again, Metas are Metas - how much of a difference will this really make? Is this playstyle for RPGs here to stay?

I tend to agree with you that those of us staying back will tend to be more interested in the role play aspects of the game. I intend to farm rep, honor, herbs, develop my profs, level alts with their profs, explore . . . I have never enjoyed group pve, so most of what I do it solo. Solo players are generally left behind during the mass rush of the min/maxers. I think it is going to be refreshing.

Yes now that the retail community will finally move to TBC, we get to experience the original game we were hoping for.

I even expect a resurgence of old style world pvp. I will have the gear I want from the honor grind and I play to start killing enemy civilian npcs with no care about dishonor kills - will start fights at every low level town. Should be fun
