Future changes for lock

Just wanted to post some ideas i have that i think would benefit lock.

Demo
1.With all the core economy changes, i think adding our 3rd dreadstalker (dog) back and making it so each dog that expires guarantees 1 core. This takes away the RNG and adds flavor back with the 3rd dog
2. Change imp gang boss back to season 2 of dragonflight imp gang boss. Imploding 12 imps and having 6-8 of them refunded was a lot of fun.
3. Either make demonic calling guarantee insta cast dogs or just make demonic calling the master summoner pvp talent reducing dog, tyrant, and vilefiend cast times.
4. Make Doomguard volley cleave again

Destro
To state i am not sure why destro is getting nerfed going into the 11.05 patch with the means to fix RoF in single target as that issue has not been a problem since beta.
1.Bring back flame rift
2.Make the rift refund off immolate not incen
3.Let CDF refund soul fire again
5.make cata baseline

Aff
1.Delete Vile Taint and add a talent for improved seed (since they love these talents) and have seed apply corruption and agony (agony to 8 targets).
2.Change visionary back to grim reach
3.Buff oblivion and make it repeat 100% of its damage as a dot, change the CD to 1 minute, and give it a talent to extend all dots applied to any mob for 3 seconds per each second you spend casting up to a max of 9 (can benefit from haste)
4.Change perpetual Unstability to be a stacking haste buff for UA
5.Make phantom singularity 1 min cd

Hellcaller

  1. Change malevolance back to 15%
  2. buff wither
  3. change seeds of their demise for destro back to giving free chaos bolts or RoF but they dont spawn an overfiend but do count towards the 15 needed to spawn one

Soul Harvester
1.buff demonic soul

Diabolist

  1. revert destro nerfs and lower the cycle timer for destro

Class tree

  1. Make gateway and circle baseline
  2. Revert fiendish stride changes
  3. delete or buff soul conduit
  4. bring back some for of KJC
  5. Add a capstone talent called metamorphosis, this talent would act just like soulshape from shadowlands but instead and a blue fox, you would transform into your transmogged felhunter.

A few more Destro funsies:
Inferno Bolt should be affected by Havoc (even if it still only gives the 2 shards).
Havoc’s current damage replication is too underwhelming, and should be bumped up to at least 70% baseline. The removal of Pandemonium was pretty rough.
I’d like to see Eradication go back up to 10% instead of 5%.
Malevolence feels really underwhelming. Give it like 10% crit and 10% haste or something.

Absolutely. You could even put it on a minute cd, since I mainly want the insurance every Tyrant/Soul Rot

Sad thing is is destruction “feels” good to play. For the first time, we can move and still do damage. The problem is they’ve gutted us so much “fixing” bugs, and have given no damage to compensate.

Yes the playstyle feels good for Destro, but damage so far behind others.

Feels like destro needs an update or ability change of rain of fire. We have the opposite problem now it seems better just to cast chaos bolt unless target count is very high. Rather kill a priority mob and do nearly as much damage as rof if not the same on like 4-5 count pull.

I don’t really think the dev will keep an eye on some classes. they are either biased on some classess in each patch, or they are insufficient/incapable of doing all balance work in time so they have to choose only few classes great.

Time will tell but there some strange bias between which classes get to use all their 31 talents points into single talent points vs others that have to spend 6 points into two points talents in their class trees.

just hire this guy Blizzard, and you can actually fire your entire warlock team, just this guy alone is enough

Honestly. just taking the shard cost away from it would make wonders imo, it’s so unecessary for an ability with a cooldown. The best scenario for Vile Taint problem is eliminating the cost, reducing the CD or make a way of extending Agony’s duration slightly so u can Vile them back without having to refresh EVERY Agony up (maybe Volatile’s Agony damage could extend the duration of nearby afflicted targets, so you still incentivize people to refresh Agony without making it a total pain in the @$$)

Honestly this but idk about the whole extending stuff. It still baffles me that we don’t have a DoT that costs Shard… But I see the issue (stupid malefic rapture). If they end up turning Oblivion into a DoT, it should replace UA to actually work. It could be like a channeling that ends up with a big DoT that lasts a bit more than it’s own cooldown. (I think 30s cooldown for a 35/40s duration? It could also pump some AoE damage while it channels).

Wouldn’t fix much I think, UA needs to just be buffed a lot baseline and THEN change the talents around it. UA should never be behind Agony in a ST scenario

Why?

Hellcaller needs an overall rework. It’s sad because it was supposed to be like the old Aff feels back, but the same problems persists: Mobs can’t live long enough for it to be worth it and if they do live all this time, it means your group is in a bad spot. Hellcaller should all be around ramping but worth the wait, Wither stacks should always feel used even if enemies dies without acuting. I think they should replace Hatefury Rituals/Blackheart Tactics with a node option of Wither no longer acuting but ramping it’s damage forever per stack (so long ST fights would be Hellcaller’s time to shine) and a node that acts like a Soul Flame, increasing the damage per stack remaining of Wither or make the remaining stacks jump to another nearby target like druid insects and eventually jumps into the warlock if no other target is found, giving them a buff (any secondary stat or maybe even a cdr, if we feeling spicy) per stack? I think both fits the fantasy and solve the main issues of the Hero Talent.

Also THEY NEED TO FIX INFINITE CORRUPTION/WITHER BUG. So many bosses lose ALL stacks of Wither because they get into an intermission, I stopped playing Hellcaller for good after I lost like 12 stacks of Wither in the first boss of Dawnbreaker, that was like… watching my whole effort and cds thrown in the garbage.

yeah the whole VT thing you stated has been posted/said a lot and i think they would have changed it that way already if they were going to. Changing PS to 1 minute offers a better starting experience for new locks as you hold PS for 1 minute anyways for soul rot windows. I think changing oblivion to a 1 shard cost and it being 30 second cd (or whatever cd length that lets us not have to manually reapply agonies in aoe) along with my ideas would be a lot of fun. also buff havoc for destro and change fire and brimstone to a 30 or 45 sec cd to where all spells hit up to 5 or 8 targets. Destro is very weird in AOE rn with the priorities changing for what spell to use. Feel like RoF is cool but a bit bland i guess? Wish they would try something new like bane of havoc or some form of fire and brimestone with bolts flying everywhere.
