Man this spec feels great in terms of clicking buttons. Really feels like you are a warrior. Been playing wow since BC and never played one. How is fury in PvP/pve? Thanks!

Fury is a fun spec, but it’s not in the greatest place if performance matters to you.

Relative performance in content:

  • Mythic+
    • C+
      • Good AOE burst, but capped at 5 targets
      • No utility to help with certain affixes
  • Raid
    • B
      • Good AOE burst for boss adds
      • Single target damage is bottom 3
  • PVP
    • D-
      • Outclassed in its entirety by other specs
      • Death Wish meme in random BGs

Id rank them B+ in mythics. Great burst, great Survivability, and awesome AoE execute phases

Fury is near the middle for pure ST, if you are referring to damage to bosses on WCL it’s important to remember that it is not an accurate portrayal of ST damage due to a couple factors.

Fury is close to worthless in PvP.

Looking at heroic Volco (pure ST fight), 90th percentile, at my ilvl (483-485) marks, aug, fury. 3rd from the bottom

A fight that sub 2 minutes for people trying to parse (and on heroic) isn’t a good measure of DPS.

Classes with 3min CDs will be skewed heavily by looking at Volcoross.

Why are you looking at Heroic and at a certain Ilvl range, that’s incredibly cherry picked lol.

Also Volc is not a great ST metric either for the reason Curoar highlighted and the constant movement that happens on Mythic that hampers ranged.

Your chosen variables are skewed, and the game isn’t balanced around heroic.

Boss DPS and single target DPS are not the same thing, lol. I’m not sure if you don’t understand that or you’re just trying to present misinformation.

Boss DPS is wildly skewed by funnel specs, which we are not.

Actual single target fights like Nymue, smolder, volc all have fury in the top 50th percentile.

I’ve been having a blast on my Fury main in SS and generally do really well. The self-heals make up for the squishiness. It has nice sustained and burst damage, whereas Arms feels like I’m forced to either be good at sustained or be good at burst but not both.

Fury does force me to position better and is less forgiving, though. Statistically Arms does better CR but that doesn’t mean Fury is horrible. My Fury wrecks random BGs too.

Fury wrecks random bgs. It’s trash in rated bgs and in arena you can get to 2k+ but it will be way more work than doing it on arms/ret/dh
