Fury Warrior stutters when using “Reckless Abandon” talent

As the title says, using the Reckless Abandon talent causes a noticeable stutter when casting Rampage or Bloodbath, which corresponds to gaining or losing the associated “Reckless Abandon” buff.

I’ve noticed this stuttering immediately when switching to the new optimal Fury warrior talents after acquiring the season 3 tier set. After a little bit of trial and error I found out that the culprit is the Reckless Abandon talent. I’ve since tried disabling all addons, deleting cache/WTF folders, reinstalling the game, drivers and even Windows, but the problem remains the same. Switching back to “Anger Management” talents completely fixed the issue - I’m including a video where I show the frametime graph before (perfectly smooth line) and after changing to the new talents (spike everytime rampage/bloodbath is casted), which perfectly illustrates the issue:

Does anyone else experience this? It is most noticeable when strafing left and right or moving the camera.

I’ve already posted this topic once before, to the Technical Support forums, where I was told to repost it to the Bug Report. Additionaly, I’ve also recorded a better video at 120fps and then slowed it down to 25%, in order to make the stutters clearly visible:

HW/SW:
AMD 7800x3D
32GB of RAM
Nvidia RTX 4080
Latest Nvidia graphics drivers (ver. 546.17)
Also tested some older drivers (versions 537.58, 537.42, 528.xx)
Fresh installation of Windows 11 23H2
In the video, the game is set to the default 7/10 graphics preset
Addons have no effect on the issue

This is quite odd. I don’t have this issue at all.

OK, just made another warrior, just to test it out, and I do not have any stutters on it. With the exact same build, with or without addons enabled. At this point, I’m very confused…

The only thing i can think of at this point, is maybe different cvars, or something server side. I’ll try to reset the cvars, or at least match them as close as i can between the characters and see if that helps.

EDIT: Resetting cvars, reinstalling the game and resetting cvars again for good measure did not help at all. I have no idea how it’s possible for the game to run just fine on one level 70 warrior, but stutter on the other one, given exact same talent builds. Tried to remove all gear except for two heirloom weapons, that did not help either. No addons installed, and used no macros.

I’ve managed to find the culprit - it was a simple macro i used for Goblin glider. Yes, just a macro i had on my action bar, that somehow interfered with the rotation, causing stutters on casts of Rampage and Bloodbath:

I have no idea how a macro simply being on the bars, not actively used in any way, could interfere with the game like this. But indeed, if i put the macro back on the action bars, stutters reappear.
Very weird interaction, and I hope this will get fixed. Until then, removing the macro is a good enough solution to the problem.
