Fury Warrior Execute Question

I’m looking at the tooltip (level 60, talented into Massacre) and it says this:

Execute
0 to 20 Rage                           Melee Range
Instant                           3.5 sec cooldown
Attempt to finish off a wounded foe, causing 6,339
Physical damage. Only usable on enemies that have 
less than 35% health.

Generates 20 rage.
ID 280755

Wowhead says it generates no rage and costs 20-40.

I don’t understand how it can COST rage and GENERATE rage at the same time.

What’s going on here?

Fury warriors have the following passives:

Execute no longer costs Rage.

Execute generates 20 Rage.

Ah. so the tooltip isn’t accurate. I thought perhaps that was true, but I didn’t. It was very confusing.

well execute changes based on level so im guessing that is in part why the tooltip may be weird.

I think it’s a bug. I mean, it changes dynamically based on whether or not I’m talented for Massacre (I tested that).

I’ve got other toons with level-changing abillities and none of them are wrong.

It’s likely a bug somewhere.

I don’t really care at this point. I just wanted to get my rotational WA right for Execute. With no power need, it’s more likely to be available to me now.
