or Either of those as main hand’s with a CHT offhand. Night elf warrior with Edgemaster’s. I’ve read and been told so many different things. Just trying to get a few opinions.
Due to having edgemasters you open yourself to swords.
Cts mh and cruel oh would be your bis.
I’m an Edgemaster Elf that picked up Crul’shoruk last week. I had some interesting findings this week, which actually have left me scratching my head. Started off a night of BWL with Crul/BB, but noticed that my white damage and overall was significantly lower. I almost never don’t sit at the top of the meters, but I was steadily getting beaten by guys with VK/BB combos. Switched it over to DB/Crul for the second half. White damage and damage overall went up, however, as expected when using Deathbringer, it’s always inconsistent.
Even before getting Crul, my first thought was that MHing it was the better option on paper as it just provides better stats combo’d with another stat stick. Maybe it’s just playstyle too. Seems to be a lot more HS queuing required to make it top out. Any other similar experiences? I want the Crul/BB thing to work.
I am also a NE, and I have Crul as well.
There are two answers.
Best possible combination: CTS / Crul. But you would anger all the human warriors and rogues.
So, for you, the best combination is Crul MH / Core Hound Tooth OH. It’s what I use as well. BB OH would work as well
It sims higher than DB.
On a different note, unless you get rank 14 weapons, then the best combo in AQ 40 for us meme racers will be death sting / pugio with aged core leather gloves.
High damage / slow mainhand I’d think is generally what you go for considering instant attacks and weapon damage attacks that take the mainhand only into account. (WW/Cleave/HS mainly)
Probably CTS is the only thing that beats DB mainhand until AQ
Slow MH is only a thing for horde. Whirlwind is the only ability that benefited fron slow MH. Bloodthirst is not based on weapon damage at all.
Db only beats Crul for cleave fights.
For an orc warrior what would perform better.
Death Bringer / Edge of Chaos.

very late reply, but this might help others wondering
so FOR HORDE – Deathbringer / Eddge of Chaos was better because DB has a slow swing and hefty high end dmg so its better on all cleave fights in main hand than edge is, horde benefit from windfury so you will get much better windfury procs including extra rage generation from those procs due to higher dmg, crul remains a great offhand weapon because dps/stats in its better than dooms edge
Edge of Chaos / Dooms Edge is better for aliance due to the higher DPS of Edge of Chaos vs Deathbringer and since they dont get windfury its MUCH slower at generating rage and any missed/dodged/parried attacks will punish you significantly more, since heroic strike only activates on next auto you would gain no benefit from a slower main hand aswell as no benefit from a slow offhand with no stats on it in terms of rage generation (and humans want swords anyway)
Deathbringer/Deathbringer is good again only for horde, and the reason its good is because windfury de-normalizes your mainhand/offhand swing timer so you benefit from heroic strike queuing much much more with this combo (granted its a minute gain of roughly 1-2% dps if you can perfectly queu the whole fight)… once again the slow MH gives better WF procs… the offhand however will generate rage at a slower pace than a fast offhand paired with Unbridled Wrath (talent, this talent thrives on fast attacks for bonus rage generation)
