Fury Warrior 11.1 PTR Feedback

Hello, I am a player of Fury Warriors across multiple versions, consistently ranking above the top 200. I would like to discuss some feedback regarding Fury Warrior talents and the 11.1 set.

I don’t understand why the designers are working hard to weaken the synergy effects of Warrior skills, which is reflected in many areas. I believe that retaining relevant skill synergies would more effectively enhance the design of the Warrior class.

  1. In 11.0, the synergy between Bloodthirst and other skills triggered by Unhinged

  2. In 11.1, the effect of Reckless Abandon was modified, removing the synergy with Rampage, Raging Blow, and Bloodthirst, making Recklessness once again one of the weakest bursts.

  3. Unbrdled Ferocity and Avatar of the Storm (despite being a final talent) do not gain any relevant synergies when Avatar is triggered.

  4. In 11.0, the talent Annihilator , which changed the mechanics of Raging Blow , was removed.

I do not believe that removing synergies is an effective way to maintain class balance. Retaining more mechanical synergies would make the class more interesting rather than more generic.

There are too many talent or useless talents among the available options; they will never be chosen or will always be abandoned, leaving no real choices in talents.

  1. Champion’s Spear is rarely chosen in PvE. Even after the buff in version 11.0, it is only selected in a few single-target raid boss. It isn’t even considered a competitor for Thunderous Roar. I believe it should revert to the cooldown reduction effect of Spear of Bastion in 9.0 , or perhaps the Warrior’s Spear could have different skills, maybe even Judgment ?

  2. I really can’t understand why Vicious Contempt requires 2 points. It should only require 1 point to fully unlock the talent, which is in line with his competitiveness.

  3. You would never give up Meat Cleaver after selecting Improved Whirlwind . I think these two should be combined into one point.

  4. I don’t understand the purpose of Onslaught ; it can’t even trigger any effects from the Hero Talent Tree. It feels like a forgotten talent, and the most ridiculous part is that it’s on the last tier.

  5. Unbridled Ferocity and Depths of Insanity are too weak to be chosen in most situations; appropriate buffs would be valuable.

  6. I can’t see the value of Storm of Steel; it isn’t chosen by any playstyle. Perhaps it should be paired with a cooldown reduction effect.

  7. Execute-related points were never chosen in 10.0 unless the Tier Bonus required them. Sudden Death,Ashen Juggernaut,Massacre are no longer competitive, but they still need to take up 3 talent points. They can be merged or enhanced to improve their competitiveness.

Reducing ineffective talent points would make the talent tree more compact and reasonable.

DPS Warriors have become the class in World of Warcraft with the fewest functional skills. I don’t understand why there isn’t an effort to balance these additional aspects. Perhaps adding some functionality for DPS Warriors would prevent the class from feeling disadvantaged when players are making their choices.

  1. Warriors lack any ability to dispel debuffs, but perhaps Bitter Immunity could be a good auxiliary skill. Maybe it shouldn’t have a 3-minute cooldown; a 1-minute cooldown might make it more valuable.

  2. Rallying Cry currently only increases maximum health by 10%. I understand its nerf was due to its strength in raid content, but perhaps it should have double the effect in a party.

  3. In Legion, the Fury Warrior artifact provided a brief death immunity effect, reviving upon killing a target, called Vargoth . This feature might be very suitable for Warriors.

  4. In previous versions, the designers thought having four bleeding classes was reasonable among 13 classes, but the low number of bleeding classes in Mythic+ significantly affects class selection. Perhaps adding a shout skill for Warriors could effectively address this issue.

In the 11.1 PTR, the performance of Fury Warriors is extremely polarized. I believe we shouldn’t overlook their overall weaknesses just because they excel in certain scenarios.

  1. In some add scenarios during raid boss fights, Fury Warriors perform quite well due to their low-cost, short-cooldown AoE skills. This performance has been consistent from 11.0 to 11.1 PTR, but it doesn’t mean that Fury Warriors should be weak in most fights. Their performance in single-target and multi-target encounters is very poor.

  2. Among the set bonuses for Fury Warriors , they are the only class that removes Winning Streak! without receiving any buffs. This means that one of the two-piece bonuses has a negative effect with no synergy, which is counterintuitive and may cause players to hesitate about using their Berserk. Perhaps when Winning Streak! is removed, they should definitely gain two stacks of the four-piece bonus.

  3. Due to the high but unstable RPPM (rate per person per minute) of the two-piece bonus, Fury Warriors often encounter situations in combat where buffs trigger consecutively but do not stack, or where they do not trigger at all. This creates a lot of concerns for Fury players when using their skills, as they worry about wasting buffs and affecting their rotation. It might be better to allow the four-piece bonus to stack appropriately, perhaps up to three stacks.

  4. I suspect the changes to Reckless Abandon and Titan’s Torment were intended to encourage Fury Warriors to use more Rampage and Bloodbath , but this conflicts with the 11.1 set bonuses, making Reckless Abandon feel very weak. Perhaps the four-piece bonus should trigger the same buff, but it could be consumed by Raging Blow or Bloodthirst .

  5. Rampage is too low, even weaker than Bloodbath and Shattering Throw under the Reckless Abandon . As the core skill of Fury Warriors, Rampage erk should be the highest priority damage skill. It may need more damage buffs.

thx
