Trying to gear up on my ARMS warrior (gear is terrible) and its been really hard. But…i started playing FURY and man its a lot funner (at least in lower gear) and the self heal helps a lot.
At least in Radoms its not that bad. Just sharing some info with my warrior brothers who are in the struggle bus.
Fury is absolutely better for pushing rank early for a few reasons, the first is the self healing that makes you less reliant on the pug healers, and better able to survive when you have low versatility and stamina. The second is that they can put out significantly larger bursts than arms, especially with lower gear. Lastly, the loss of dStance isn’t an issue when you are not super geared, and the extra 10-20% damage reduction isn’t going to keep you from getting one shot, and the -20% damage isn’t going to turn your already lowish damage into a tickle. People seem to think fury has less CC, but they still get hamstring, piercing howl, intimidating shout, stormbolt(talent), and disarm(pvp-talent), which is the exact same as arms. You still get rallying cry and the accompanying pvp talent, and with the unhinged arms legendary, fury can apply mortal wounds 15~20% of the time, all of which is during their heaviest, unCCable burst windows. Fury can still intervene (something else people don’t seem to realize), use spell reflect, and has the more mobility than arms.
Fury is better for random BGs where you don’t have coordinated healing simply because you can get six leaps which also makes you the best floater in the game. Their value goes down in rated, but I still think they are underused. There is no other class that can peel out of a fight at waterworks and make it to mines in BFG faster than a fury warrior, just for example.
Thanks for the input. I need to get the leaper leggo. I have the signet right now (kings signet) its not bad for more burst windows (i crafted due to PVE). The leaps for days tho looks freaking awesome.
I ran M+ 10-16’s as Fury on an alt in BFA. It was a super fun class. Warrior, Hunter, and DH are my favorite DPS classes for PVE. Not sure how it plays in PVP but if you enjoy it, go for it. Asmongold is pretty high in 3’s running Fury if I’m not mistaken.
