Every time I open a cache, chest, vault for my Fury it only ever gives out 1 handed weapons
Who the #$@% as a Fury uses 1 handers.
PLEASE FIX
Set your loot spec to arms. Same drops as fury -1 handers. It’s the only way around this unfortunately while our dev is still figuring out why nobody plays SMF.

Some fury warriors prefer to use 1h weapons and SMF does exist. Set your loot spec to arms if you want to filter out 1h weapons.

You have to loot spec Arms because Blizzard refuses to get rid of SMF and just let us Tmog 1H weps for some reason. This is why I hate it even more, people who don’t know they have to loot spec Arms for Fury, because no other class/spec in the game have to do this.

They in fact, do not. I have never seen a Fury Warrior playing SMF. It’s no joke about a 15% DPS decrease. I guess maybe if they’re just doing Heroic Dungeons and LFR or something it’s fine but if you’re even doing M+2 you’re kinda trolling if you’re SMF.

That’s not true.
TG fury warriors are lucky to be able to set their loot spec in a way that filters out 1h weapons. Frost DK and ww/bm monks are melee specs that also have a choice between 2h/1h weapon types. 2h frost DK is the only other spec that is lucky to be able to do the same by setting their loot spec to unholy.
I wish I could target 2h weapons specifically on my monk like I do on both my warrior and DK, but I can’t. dw frost DKs will still get 2h weapons that I would use but they would prefer to avoid; bm and ww monks also cannot filter to specific weapon types (1h or 2h). I want separate loot specs for each weapon type a spec can use (Fury - 1h and Fury - 2h, ww - 1h and ww - 2h, etc) so that each player can focus on the weapon type they prefer.
I faced the same furstration today. I got a hero tier weapon only for it to be a one hander. Made a post similar to yours haha. But yeah as others have said and I too have now learned, you just have to set your loot specialization to Arms
if they have brain, then they will know right away, but unfortunately, they dont.
Wrong FDK have the same issue they can use 1handed weapons and 2 handed weapons.
Don’t think WW and Brew monks are affected as much as Fury warrior or FDK. We play exactly the same and don’t need to switch talent points.
The thing that I don’t get is, in effect, TG and SMF are the exact same thing visually. You’re swinging around oversized swords like an ape.
At least there’s an aesthetic difference between 2H and DW Frost, 1H and 2H Fury? There just flat-out isn’t. It doesn’t make sense - and slackening transmog restrictions would make so much more sense than trying to integrate SMF.
My ADHD burns me so often when I loot as Fury and find that 1-hander. Then I curse that I should have taken a Concerta that day and looted as Arms. I have a brain, it just doesn’t always remember this stuff.
The thing here is that sometimes people come out with an awful idea, it fails, and yet out of spite they just refuse to let go.
That’s why pathfinder continues to exist and they made dynamic flying the default style going forward.
That’s why SMF fury still exists.
That’s why this overly complicated new profession system continues into TWW.
That’s why they didn’t keep BC and WotLK era servers despite the audience for both being beyond obvious.
I’m tempted to say this is why there still hasn’t been a proper nerf to Eonar as well.
ActiBlizz has had a nasty streak in this regard since WoD. They never forgave us for pushing back against the war on flying.
God, yeah. Mythic Eonar is still butts.
how much do you lose DPS wise with SMF??? i’m just wondering. Back when it was first done in cata you could make it better but you had to gear it very well
The only thing that would give SMF any relevance at all is for it to have a broken legendary or a broken cantrip weapon available to it and for 2hs to not have any equivalents in the same tier.
