This is my beef with Fury AoE. BT cleaves for less than WW unless it crits and cleaves it’s Gushing Wound. RB cleaves for a little more than WW. The only spells that have a significant impact on cleave are Execute and Rampage. Onslaught will help in SL.
Personally I find whirlwind to be a clunky spell at the moment. Activating aoe effects on our single target is fine. But I’d prefer it hit harder and be cast less often. If they made whirlwind more like Odyns fury and then give us cleave (cleave would act like current whirlwind) or something, I’d be happy with that.

With CSHB going bye-bye in SL it’s just going to be worse. Arms WW hits for noticably more and it casts a free Slam with Fervor Battle.
They just need to find a better solution than “hit whirlwind mOaR” right now it’s our base filler spell, our only on demand aoe spell (hits like a wet noodle) because it ALSO activates our ability to hit multiple enemies with single target skills.
IMO it’s too many things for one spell. The spec already is super fast paced. Asking us to press a spell that feels so crappy to use is annoying. If it hit harder I might be okay. But as it is it feels like I’m just waiting an extra GDC to do aoe spells.

Odyn’s Fury would do wonders for Fury. I think the spec is ultra fun to play and my one gripe is that it doesn’t have that big “tagline” button to press… Rampage feels good to hit, but it happens too often to be that ability. Odyn’s Fury would fill that niche, make the spec more complete, and make our cleave feel great again.
Another suggestion I’d have is just let Meat Cleaver stack to 4, like it did in legion. Let us WW twice and get our next 4 abilities to cleave. It feels clunky to be rage capped and be using WW instead of rampage, so that the rampage cleaves. If we could at least stack up 4 cleaves in a row with WW like legion, the spec would immediately feel better in aoe imo.

I would love this. As I’m spamming WW so much I quite often accidentally use it twice in a row.
Furthermore at two stacks it feels like having to refresh it interrupts the real rotation to often. If I could stack to four I could then concentrate on my rotation for quite a bit longer.
Maybe thats part of the problem. I don’t even see WW as part of my rotation.

Odyn’s Fury should be a talent in place of Meat Cleaver. Our cleave is dog crap without Sudden Death Executes.
What about adding the corruption effect Obsidian Skin from Sk’shuul Vaz.
Its getting better in Shadowlands. With the melee AOE nerf, Fury cleave is gonna be more competitive. Also, in order to help new players, WW will now be part of the single target rotation so that you never have to think what to press and can farm more MYTHIC+ all day long!!!
WW is already part of the ST rotation. I actually did the math and the way that Fury’s cleave works is pretty great, but Sudden Death is kind of mandatory because the cleave is the best with Rampage and Execute.
