Funny, the allaince won this war using every underhanded tactic in the book

It’s funny, Sylvanas is supposed to be trying every underhanded trick in the book to win this war, and yet, every single time she tries anything, or the horde as a whole try anything , the alliance steals it or does something worse.
Horde built the scepter of the seas, alliance stole it.
Horde where gonna resurrect Derek Proudmoore, Baine gives his body to the alliance.
Alliance put bombs on the bottom of horde ships to blow them up in harbor, horde did… nothing, well we lost.
Alliance setup a sneak attack on a major city and killed a Horde leader, horde will probably flat out challenge alliance to a fight somewhere or something since, you know, we can’t be sneaky cause we are apparently terrible at it.
I mean, Horde have no chance in hell of winning this, even if Sylvanas releases an Old God, and the narrative getting worse and worse.
I guess the horde goes back to being slaves to the alliance and getting treated worse then dirt in blizzards eyes, since, you know, that’s where they started.

Realistically we don’t have a sliver of a chance to win this war. Blizzard busies themselves empowering the Alliance characters and adding more and more superweapons to their arsenal, while the horde has… blight and a banshee? They can’t even use a majority of the Alliance’s assets in the story because there is no way they could write a counter for the Horde without developing its characters
(yeah they aren’t gonna do that) so they resort to writing the Alliance as stupid and merciful at ‘convenient’ plot points so the Horde can keep going.

It’s sad, really

You have fiery catapults the size of cars that burned down a tree the side of a mountain. (obvious sarcasm here)

What’s funny is, I’m willing to be the end of this war is going to be when we resurrect N’Zoth or whatever, and the alliance and horde relies they have a bigger problem to deal with and stop fighting because of it.

Which is horrible writing, since everyone sees it coming, and pointless since it’s just delaying stuff.

Thank god for new games coming out soon, since ever there writing team seems to be going down the toilet.

This might be the biggest example of a Poor Me post ever. Shall we compare underhanded?

Teldrassil was underhanded. The defenses were off and away so the dead cat could come and play.

Stealing the weapon Xalanath sounds pretty underhanded for whatever power boost she’s looking to get.

Attacking farmers before they could even pick a side sounds pretty underhanded.

Her plan for Derek itself was underhanded as heck, even if she doesn’t pull it off.

Oh and lordaeron itself ended up being a trap which is always underhanded.

I think the roadkill queen has plenty of shady and overall underhanded wins under her belt.

Adding on to this, a huge problem with this direction of writing is that the only chance at the Horde and Alliance continuing combat through this war is to write Sylvanas in a brilliant manner (as if she is truly brilliant) and to write the Alliance leadership as if they’re completely inept.

Which is what they look like most of the time as a result of this direction. To have demigods, an intergalactic spaceship among other things all stacked on one side against one banshee driving her corpse and some blight? It’s impossible to write Alliance leadership proper in this situation, which on the whole makes the war feel like it’s done for shock value instead of actually done proper.

This is the truth. This war was a stupid idea from the start especially after coming from Legion .

This sounds like a Horde-on-Horde problem.

Teldrassil was a straight up attack, where horde fought through alliance (mainly nightelf forces) and sylvanas set fire to a dead tree, the plan with derek didn’t work. We don’t know what or how Sylvanas is going to have to do with Xalanath, although from the commentary it looks like it’s all on the horde hero and Sylvanas doesn’t really play a part in it, and Lordaeron was the worst trap ever since it killed NOONE of importance.

Exactly, their refusal to throw the Horde a bone (or five) in the power department leads to them having to resort to terrible writing that is so forced and can’t be taken seriously. The Alliance could end the Horde in a day, as things stand right now, but for gameplay reasons that can’t happen so they make them act like somebody spiked their drinks before every battle instead.

Funny, this war’s not over yet.
We’ve still got at least 18 more months of comedy capers
to go :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s pretty much over, apparently there’s a cinematic out there about how the alliance could have ended this already, but choose not to because we are morning the loss of our king. Which is dumb is and of itself.

Well, you have to be realistic. Teldrassil trumps what has come before and is represents the current record for how hard you were hit with the villain bat.

But yes, otherwise the Alliance does crap all the time and nobody ever calls them on it.

The Horde have plenty of strong people/things. The writers just refuse to show them for some reason.

I mean the writers are just bad. Like a whole new level of terrible, I don’t even know how to explain it. Think reddit fan fiction that Uwe Boll decided to bring to life.

Edit: If you don’t know who Uwe Boll is, Bloodrayne movies.

Actually if you read the novella they put out, the Horde shamans used wind to spread fel fire from warlocks. The catapults were just the delivery mechanism.

Also Alliance NEEDS us to be stupid morons who charge our entire army off at the first sign of the enemy. Their leader is Anduin. He’s going to kill them all himself, by accident. It’s just a matter of time.

Hilarity ensues :stuck_out_tongue:

I made a loa joke in another thread but the horde has the ace in the hole called.

LOA MARRIS - You cannot beat the noir makeup and waifu bow of death. Alliance doesn’t stand a chance. And I see more Night Elves being raised. Lot’s more. Basically Arthas all over again just to try and win. Zandalari king dies so Katherine has to die right ? I mean let’s keep it even at least.

“haha we burnt your tree get rekt alliance eff your feelings”

one lame raid later

“THEY CHEATED!!!”
