You’re right. But recognizing irony IS a skill issue. First, you need to know basic irony. Saying something when you mean exactly the opposite, is irony. So, from my statement regarding ‘learn to fall’ you can think “OMFG this guy is so crazy that he thinks that” or you can think ‘OMFG irony! Let me add to this’
