How do you avoid dying when jumping down?

I don’t remember this delve specifically, but I’m pretty sure all the jump down at beginning delves have water at the bottom to eliminate fall damage. Failing that, one of the parasol toys might work. I know they work inside instances but I’ve never tested them in a delve. But you really shouldn’t need to use it. I’ve not encountered any delve with unavoidable suicide jumps.

If this is the one where you can die on the initial drop (which is really dumb), then try to angle your jump to the right.

Unfortunately, even that is not a guarantee, because you drift a bit during the fall… but it helps.

Blizzard really needs to fix this.

If you turn around and walk backwards off the edge, you should go straight down into the water.

Make sure to walk slowly.

Staying away from it. It’s one of the Delves that I will not go back to. The spores are just annoying.

Try kiting the mobs toward the spores.

Hold right…ish. Also if you use Noggenfogger elixirs for the underwater delves, they sometimes cast slow fall on you, if you are willing to wait a bit.

They changed (ruined) how spores work in season 2. They no longer home in on the player, nor do they do significant damage to enemies.

They are, however, far less annoying now.

Before, they’d constantly chase you anytime you got close to one.

Now, they give you at least 5-6 seconds to get away from it before it makes the decision to explode and as long as you don’t stand near one for too long, you can simply avoid it.

Don’t know, I never died from jumping down. I always land in the water.

Nah, to me they fixed it. I always hated fungal folly before because of the homing spores as a caster. Now, I love the delve.

If by less annoying, you mean less useful. They could be used to clear whole platforms of enemies easily and quickly and it was fun.

That’s why they were nerfed. They were stupidly OP. But yet annoying at the same time.

The spores are still darned annoying though. They don’t chase you, but the respawn rate is stupid fast.

And it doesn’t damage the mobs at all but you are another matter, especially if you’re one of the slower race/classes.

I have yet to die from that fall but I’ve been in groups where other people have.

They should really take a look at it.

I died once from the drop so now I always levitate before I hit the bottom. Not even pandas are bouncy enough to survive landing on the rocks instead of the water. :sob:

If you jump from the left, you go splat, but not from the right.

There’s a narrow ledge to the left that will kill you if you land on it.
