Is anyone elses fullscreen or windowed options behaving improperly?
EDIT: Read reply below, this fixes the issue, but not sure of the root cause
For me, the only option i have that works is fullscreen (windowed), which is not windowed at all, as anytime I click off the screen to my 2nd monitor I get a black screen for a few seconds on wow. And then another black screen for a few seconds when I click back into wow to do stuff. It didn’t do this at all before the 9.0 patch.
There is a 2nd windowed option, but that’s literally a small window, that you can maximize to fullscreen, but with your taskbar covering the bottom and the title bar covering the top, which is unplayable pretty much.
This was an issue for others for a while and it had something to do with Nvidia drivers and their interaction with DirectX 12 and WoW.
That was the post from a while back and what I personally found for a “fix” ( not really, but it works ) was to disable dx12 in game.
I updated to the newest driver for my 1080tis today and it seems to work with dx12 enabled. It may work for you as well. My current driver is 456.71 from the Nvidia website. Good luck!
