Fullscreen UI Blurriness

This was a problem prior to 8.1, and I was hoping the patch would address it (as it did fix the fullscreen desktop switching crashing issue), but this other issue still appears to be ongoing. I’ll try to describe it:

When in fullscreen mode (this does not happen in windowed mode), the entire UI is slightly blurry until I click a mouse button, then it immediately snaps into focus until I release a mouse button, then goes back to blurry. This does not affect the game world itself, just the UI (no add-ons installed).

Here are the settings and specs:

MacBook Pro 2018
Radeon Pro 560X
Mojave 10.14.2
External Monitor (Dell U2718) at 3840 x 2160
100% scale factor, vsync enabled, settings 5, 30 FPS cap

I don’t recall this being a problem prior to Mojave, so that may be the key factor.

While the game is playable in a window, the inability to do fullscreen without distracting UI fuzzing in and out constantly due to mouse clicks renders the game fairly non-immersive.

Is anyone else seeing this issue?

Make sure your Resolution Scale is really set to 100 percent. One of the patches reset mine to 98 and I had similar issues until I spotted and fixed it.

Good thought, as I have noticed the resolution scale changes (particularly when switching back and forth between windowed and fullscreen). However, in this case I’ve confirmed my resolution scale is indeed 100% (3840 x 2160).

It seems to act like some kind on-click window focus issue related perhaps to some change in the Mojave windowing system, but I have no idea what that would be. It’s like when you click, the fullscreen window has focus and the UI is clear, but when you let go, some kind of anti-aliasing or something takes over.

This is still happening on my MBP 2018. Does anyone have a solution?
