Full S4 Mythic+ Dungeons Review

Here is my very in-depth detailed and complete review of all S4 dungeons so far:

Tazavesh: Streets of Wonder: I like it but i’m kinda bored of it at this point

Tazavesh: So’leah’s Gambit: Alrite i guess

Operation Mechagon: Junkyard: Cool i liek

Operation Mechagon: Workshop: Not my favorite

Return to Karazhan: Lower: Depends on the Opera Event boss, last week was horrible

Return to Karazhan: Upper: Noice i liek it

Grimrail Depot: Cursed dungeon should never been added to the list

Iron Docks: My favorite so far

That’s it, thanks for watching.

Am I the only one that likes grimrail? It’s not nearly as bad as what I was expecting.

Here’s my list. Disclaimer that aside from Tazavesh, this season was my first time playing these dungeons as endgame content.
Tazavesh: Streets of Wonder: My comfort key. Easy and pretty fun, everyone knows mechs.

Tazavesh: So’leah’s Gambit: Almost a comfort key, but some affixes can make it tedious. The miniboss is in an inconvenient spot IMO.

Operation Mechagon: Junkyard: Stupid easy, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Was confusing (and therefore stressful) at first because I’d never done Mechagon, but as routes become more standard it’s a lot of fun. Tyrannical trash with fortified bosses, lol.

Operation Mechagon: Workshop: The hallway to 2nd boss, 3rd boss, and to a lesser extent last boss are just… so unfun to me. 1st boss and 2nd boss are fine, and the trash is alright aside from said hallway, but I wouldn’t consider Workshop fun.

Return to Karazhan: Lower: Love hate relationship. Opera boss is generally awful, but the rest are okay. It’s just so long and there’s so many places where things can go so wrong.

Return to Karazhan: Upper: Pugging this sucks because people like to leave their knowledge of mechanics at the key font. The key itself is alright.

Grimrail Depot: Grimrail is nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be. Very lenient timer and since the change to the last boss, not particularly difficult. Main issue is that the camera is awful and a lot of affixes are exceptionally difficult to play around in comparison to other dungeons.

Iron Docks: I also like Iron Docks a lot. One of the few keys where fortified is notably more difficult than tyrannical, and the timer is a bit tight (in comparison to how lenient Grimrail and especially Junkyard is), but it’s a thematically and mechanically fun dungeon. Not too difficult, not too easy.

welp i hate it for the following reasons:

  • Cramped up space
  • Camera can’t deal with the wagon walls and goes all over the place
  • Certain affixes only emphasize the above problems
  • Second boss is annoying to say the least

I like the design idea of fighting on a train like in a western movie but the mechanics doesn’t translate well imo

the changes to it help alot. Especially the last boss. And tbh the only annoyance I have there is the cart going into the 2nd boss. Other than that I think it’s an OK dungeon

I really enjoyed Karazhan dungeons! I remember watching that dungeon when Legion came out. I really hope Blizzard makes another dungeon like Kara upper/lower!

Any tips for melee on cannon boss? I find in his phase 2 I am just running in to hit adds then immediately running out with the cannon fire eyes like every other second

It was really infuriating with explosive last week. The healer I had was just always behind apillar and the other two dps didn’t really hit orbs so as outlaw I was killing adds, collecting bullets, shooting adds/boss and exploding orbs

grim rail got some fun sized pulls in there bro, don’t sleep on it

plus u can pull zugzug before the first boss + the other infiltrator it’s fun stuff

It’s a good dungeon. People hating on it don’t understand how to do it correctly.

I just keep the adds next to the cannons and range stay hidden behind the wall. It’s annoying because you get push by the wind for abit but I find it that I dont need to move around as much because the fire wont reach you and the boss will never target tanks w/ cannon fire.

this is 500% the reason I detest it. It is actively aggravating, and not fun to fight with the camera or be unable to see anything other than the insides of the mobs because my fat bear patootie is crammed into a corner and the pieces of NPC innards floating around my screen just make me nauseated.

I hate that dungeon. hate it with the power of five thousand suns.
