I feel like removing the subscription from the game would be a great way for Blizz to get WoW back on its feet. They can still make money off the store. Because if I didn’t pay $20CDN a month I would probably buy mounts and transmog sets, and I assume I’m far from the only one. WoW’s active player count could easily double if they were to remove the subscription fee. There would be a swarm of people logging onto play. Spending money in the in game store. Hell. You can still charge me for the expansions. Like all games, I’m fine with that. I feel like WoW would flourish again under subscription free title. Look at Fortnite FOR EXAMPLE They’re one of the most popular games in the world to this day and thay still make millions a month off of it purely from cosmetics alone. If you’re gonna say “Oh well It’d have to go pay to win”. I can already buy a boost to max level, which is already 3/4ths of the game done at the press of a button. So sub or not it already can be pay to win.
I don’t know about that, but they really should let people see more before they buy a sub.
Like, expand the free trial experience. It’s a little too boxed-in right now.
Blizzard is like your local drug dealer and just like them they don’t give anything for free, just samples to hook you on there products like the free trial accounts.

That sounds great, but the issue is the subscription itself. The 20 dollars a month is a huge turn away for a bunch of people.
Yes. And if you didn’t have to buy tickets and parking you would spend more in the ballpark on souvenirs. They should make MLB games free to enter. I’d probably buy more souvenirs than beer.

The subscription is stopping the degenerate filth of the internet from flooding in. Take that away, and the game will surely be ruined. While I’m sure there are some nice people that just cant afford it, there surely are some that you don’t want playing.

FTP coming is inevitable.
It’s more a matter of “when will it go free to play and triple down on the cash shop” than “if”.
One thing worth considering is that despite the games playerbase dropping spectacularly the game remains afloat based almost entirely on Token sales for the boosters and the vermin that sell them boosts… so going Free to Play would only bring in more people for token sales and ultimately make them more money.
The game isn’t exactly healthy at the moment on a subscription plan, and isn’t competing very well with FF for subs in the first place, but tokens let them milk the playerbase without needing large numbers of players.

2 hours a month at the arches will pay for a wow sub. I don’t sympathize with anyone that thinks that’s too much.

Also if I didn’t have to pay my rent I could afford to make the landlords property look even better and even do the repairs on his apartment for him with the money
