I had to delete my post for reasons. Yes! I agree with you and Blizzard will never listen, this is the activision coming out in them I am sure. Anyway I am on the fence of quitting already, I am done with this crappy system. They need to fix this or I am sure more will leave.
Iâm about there myself. Iâve taken time off due to burn out and usually rolled with the punches of their actions, but this is tiring.
After getting stiffed by the great vault and zero help or clarification from blizzardâs employees (generic, automated responses 3x) on my situationâŚyeah, Iâm about to call it.
Ya one of our guild mates has not gotten weapon upgrades in raid since it launched, he has opened a bunch of tickets with automated responses and when he pushed forward from what he has told us, they basically told him to stop asking, they wont help. He is nervous they will ban him, but really he just wants to know like if after 9 weeks of raiding, normal than heroic, so 10 bosses a week, not one weapon bead drops for you ever! Is that working as intended. I have tweeted Blizzard and Ian, and @warcraft everyone. No answer. There system is broken, it feels as though they do not care about their player base. So ya I am on the verge of quitting, and I think this will be for good this time. Shadowlands was fun, but I am depressed and unstatisfied after every week of raiding. Its not enjoyable, I would rather play FFXIV or another MMO or heck even a moba is more worth my money and time because I walk away feeling some sense of accomplishment and pride after my 6 hours of work. I got that in BC, Wrath, Cata, MOP, WOD, Legion, and even in BFA I got a bit, I did quit because Azerite drove me nuts, but this is too far.
Let me also say I love this game, I love the stories, the cinamatics, the music, the lore. I have come back to this game over and over and over! I love world of warcraft it has been my most played game over the years, but it just seems time and time again Blizzard implements things that do not make sense and negativly effect the game. Like some of the things they even know are negative. Reducing loot drops to make when you finally get one more meaningfull. NO! Just leave it alone, we raid to get the loot, and progress, you have now made it more grindy and harder for guilds who are not the top 1 percent to progress.
Also currently as many of you know, it feels like you have to PVP to PVE, I hate PVP, I am a prot pally, and I am so bad at it. It honestly feels like pulling teeth for me, but if I want to get gear at a 213 or higher ilevel consistently in a week I have to try to get a 1400 raiting or higher in PVP to do so. I have to PVP to PVE, I am forced to pay to play content I do not want to pay to play, to play. Hashtag that, that is how broken the system is.
My other big fear is this, there will not be a change until it is announced at blizcon for marketing purposes⌠and than! It wont come out for like a couple weeks or a month after that, maybe for the new raid. SO by that time, those of us struggling will either have quit, or continue to suffer through what we have to do now to get that point, and that is just unfair and cruel.
In my opinion Blizzard is to proud to revert the changes they made to fix the PVE Loot problem, rather they will create something else to help, but will not revert their decision because than that would mean they made a mistake.
Revert the lowered loot consistency drop chance, and bring back master looter and I think they will have a really great expansion. If they do not fix this soon enough they will run into azerite again and lose players and Shadowlands could go down in on the side of bad expansions.
Iâm not sure that youâve quite nailed the reasoning, either. In fact itâs surely a combination of factors.
I do think they were enticed by the idea of loot drops feeling more impactful, but I am more inclined to believe that they were concerned about players over-gearing too fast, but not because they would leave, but rather because it would quickly end up invalidating the Great Vault, a major feature of this expansion. If you already have the gear you need from stuff during the week, the âbig payoffâ on Tuesday would be a total let down.
And thatâs precisely my point. If they can make the Great Vault the primary method of gearing, with everything else secondary, then they have a guaranteed median timeline for how quickly people gear up, and therefore how quickly they âfinishâ the content. Their problem is that they made PvP too rewarding for that model.
Their going for a semi-guaranteed weekly hit of dopamine at the expense of the overwhelming majority of those hits from, you know, actual drops.
Welcome to wow.
They were complaining about WQ and mythic 0 loot being as good as previous raid tier. After the tier is over they would just pass the loot out like candy to everyone completely invalidating all the hard work and time everyone else put into the game. No one ever once complained about being rewarded for busting your butt every week in heroic and mythic raids and high level pvp and mythic+. That was never the complaint. I have run castle nathria since day 1 and 20 resets in Iâm still missing half my set. I got so pissed recently looking at my ilvl 200 neck that I destroyed it out of frustration. Iâll just raid with an empty slot until I get a heroic neck. Itâs so demoralizing going in here week after week getting 0 rewards.
I have been in castle nathria 5x a week with 3 nights on one character and 2 night on another character since day 1. Still missing half my set on both. Did I not play enough? I literally canât play any more the game wonât let me. I recently just got pissed and deleted my ilvl 200 neck because I was sick of looking at it. We are like 20 resets in on castle nathria. 20 weeks of doing this raid and I canât even get a neck piece no matter how hard I try, it all comes down to luck. My neck was my lowest piece but I still have and handful of other pieces that I can not fill on either character. Demoralizing. Especially seeing a brand new alt get a piece of loot you have been begging rngeesus for literaly months.
I think what he is trying to say is getting mythic level gear from pvp or mythic+ is way to easy to get. Doing what it takes to clear mythic CN is way harder than doing a +14 (no need to even time it) or getting the required rank in pvp. I think what he is saying is who would put themselves through the torture of hundreds of wipes to maybe possibly get a piece of mythic loot vs get the rating in pvp and then hand select every item you want and upgrade it to 226. A +14 for 226 is an even bigger joke. I currently have 10 mythic kills and hundreds of wipes and have looted 0 items. I got lucky with one piece that got traded to me because someone already had a 226 mythic+ item⌠imagine trading mythic raid loot because you failed the time on a +14 and got 226 from the vault. give me a break. Mythic CN is not worth the effort because everything else is so much easier. Realistically a very small portion of wow players, like 1%, will ever full clear mythic nathria and get cutting edge. How many will complete a +14?
Are you not doing M+ or Rated PvP? Does your guild not trade loot? I feel like the majority of you arenât actually doing a lot of content to fill out your vault and/or are in guilds that do not trade loot or save BoEs for difficult bosses to give everyone gear bumps to pass any difficulty spikes.
Week after week, main and alt almost NO drops. Sick of this. Is Bliss thinking you will get it in the Great Vault. This is NOTHING like the last expansions. This is getting so very old. If you are gating and just barely trying to keep your subscribers ⌠what is the deal. All the continents are gated and just to fly there is an imposition, so few WQ to do, often at day 3 after weekly reset thinking nothing to do but âgrind animaâ. LFR give almost NOTHING! as far as a piece of gear you try for week after week after week? âŚ
Personally so tired of this weekly grind. My transmogs donât work, LFR drops give nothing, all I can think of is ⌠these are the Govs paid to make you suffer like in our US states. They HATE you! You are useless eaters and you need to suffer.
JUST kidding. Laugh, haha!
What is the deal? Why is there like only 3 gear drops for 25 ppl. Hard to count a conduit and memory when you already have them and you need GEAR! You still need gear, right?
Think thats your problem, you are playing the lowest level of play of which there is no real substantial rewards. If you want better loot AND better chances of loot you have to try and push content. I donât mean no-lifeing M+ and raiding 9 hours a week but putting some effort into the game, maybe with trying to pug some normal raids or find a different guild. Trying to do atleast a key or two to get your feet wet and acclimated. And granted since its harder content you might not be the best at it but you gotta try it and do a bit of research and youâll get the hang of it quick. Sure there might be some toxic players but there are also a boat load of help people that will help you or give you resources to look up and improve your play if youâre willing to ask.
But if all youâre going to do is world quests and LFR then youâre limiting yourself and the loot you can be awarded. You canât just take highschool classes and expect to land a job as a doctor right? But at the same token, if all you want to do is take highschool classes, you canât really complain that there isnât upward mobility in terms of the job market. I know its a reductionist metaphor given thats not how it is/should be in real life but in a game themâs the breaks.
You say that as if higher difficulty on the raids drops more loot. It doesnât. Same 25% chance for loot per person (average 2.5 items per person for a full clear), same guaranteed loot from the vault.
M+ is a 40% chance of one item (so an average of 0.4 items per person per run), while running those instances on m0 or heroic is a 20% chance per boss and 40% from the last boss, iirc (1 item per boss, 2 from the final), which equates out to an average of 1 item per person per run (0.8 from Mists, 1.2 from ToP).
Doing more difficult content gets you better loot, but it really doesnât get you more loot. You simply have to run more content to get that. And the best PvE sources of loot (raid and the vault) are weekly gated anyway.
i have run 12 M+ keys level 15-19, and didnt loot a single piece of gear, my buddy felt bad after getting loot 4 runs in a row and traded me the second chest piece he got⌠so that was cool, i also cleared 7 heroic Fated Raid bosses and only got 1 piece, while watching our tank get 4 pieces⌠i dont understand how this is fair or even close to feeling rewarding for grinding all week and getting nothing out of it. I dont know if im bugged or something, but 12 dungeons and not 1 piece? cmon blizz⌠this is just flat out wrong on so many levelsâŚ
PS obviously it wasnt this toon, idk why my dusty lvl 50 rogue is the toon listed to post this
LOL
