Full castle nathria clear, zero loot drops!

Hard core players that can dedicate 3 hours or more to play each day are not the target audience if you want to keep subscriptions up. There is such a ludicrous disparity in the amount of loot you receive for the time you put in that it is disheartening. You have a greater chance of loot for failing a key than you do if you are in a 20-man raid, which does not make a ton of sense.

Furthermore, Blizzard championed the Great Vault as the solution for this loot drought, but even if you unlock 9 items, you can only pick one? Not to mention there is still some serious RNG involved in the vault, how is it that I can unlock 7 things and 4 of them are cloaks?! Working as intended I assume.

Quite frankly, all the players out there that keep saying ā€œwell in classic blah blah blah,ā€ I played vanilla, right now I am not playing classic, I am playing SL. What you may remember and love from 15 years ago, is not what the majority of the player base wants now. Nostalgia is always sweetest until you have to relive it.

Yeah… 5 heroic kills = zero loot

One full normal clear = 2 drops

Same with M+

Considering the pots, food, flasks and other resources (like time) it feels pretty lame.

^^This is a major issue. We cant progress if half our raid team cant get geared and the geared ones get bored and walk away

ya its getting Nuts with the drops I may just drop my sub to Game with the bad drop rate they have for this Game. but I will give it one more week if nothing then its good bye wow.

I keep getting the same loot from CN and The Great Vault, the dublicates I dont need; pure vendor trash. I have to stick with PVP and covenant gear, no upgrades from PVE.

Agree with people here, i ran tons of M+ this week with 0 upgrades, did not clear Normal this week but did 3 heroic bosses and got 0 loot as well, This is becoming a joke at this point, gonna be the worst expansion since wod, subs are gonna bleed dry like this.

Don’t worry, you can do M+ and get upgrades which give both a relevant ilvl and volume for the effort required- oh wait nevermind that’s absolutely untrue.

I also side with most of the people here. While I feel I have been blessed with good loot overall, loot drops are quite abysmal. I full cleared normal and did 3 heroic bosses this week. Got 1 item in normal, which was my bis gloves. Got 1 in heroic that was not an upgrade for me even though I am using a 194. But the loot drops from the raid have been slim for me. I got almost all my raid conduits which are utter trash. M+ hasnt been any better. Blizz needs to do something in regards to increasing loot dops.

well Last Night I got my 1st drop in the Raid on heroic it took this Long to get a Damn Drop. as for that LFR sword that would be from Covenant campaign incase you want to know. I feel Like Blizzard is Trolling Hard on us for gear/weapons and up-grades.

i have a suggestion on how to make raiding more rewarding without taking away the need to complete bosses to get gear.
we have 10 boss right now and i think you could give 5 valor point or whatever you wanna call it for each boss defeated but each tier gives a different currency so you cant get heroic piece from lfr raiding.
each piece of gear cost 100 point which mean if you full clear 2 raids you can buy any piece of gear in the raid however you can only buy piece of gear from bosses you have killed.
that is still less rewarding then pvp but fair i feel
i do the second most damage in my raiding team because im decked out in 213 and 220 pvp gear. im 215 ilevel and i have 2 heroic pieces that dropped for me
at this rate it could be months to see the one trinket i want.
i love the game guys i just hate that 2 raid nights i got like anima as my only reward.
with this system someone could full clear heroic 2 times and be done with raiding because they got what they want so you should have sockets that cost 250 point
and maybe even a gem for sale for 250 that only works in raid but is super powerful so people have things to buy if they raid every week and can still be getting upgrades weeks in. it would be great for the hardcore community that does all the gold carries.

Only 1 clear without loot? that’s cute. try not getting anything until the 3rd clear only because the guildies who got gear didn’t need it =p

yeah man its dumb right now.

grats 35 anima.

Four CN heroic runs in and I have seen one item. Which is the binding of warped desires. Aside from that, 35 anima, which is annoying. All my friends in game are stunned that i’m actually in arena to acquire decent gear; which I have not set foot in arena since WotLK. I despise pvp in this game, and the fact I have to do that in order to obtain upgrades is absurd. M+ is a joke for ilvl gains, and was never worth the effort outside maybe the seasonal mount.

It’s gotten so bad that if you do mythic progression and worry at all about not being a burden to your team you have to at least give pvp a go and hope you’re competent enough for (at least)1800.

I’m fine with being slightly behind in gear cause i’m a healer (currently 19th on ilvl chart), but if I were a dps i’d sure as hell be unhappy, even doing 10 weekly m+ (which feels like a chore cause the content is dull af to me) and getting one (2 moving forward) mythic loots from the cache I still am FAR behind those who also pvp’d.

Just to add another anecdote to this thread and keep this conversation alive: I have recieved 5 Macabre Music Sheets from heroic CN. I have been clearing Heroic CN and normal every week since release and still have a 184 ring and 194 helm, as well as less than optimal hear in other slots. When I get get my one price of loot from the raid it is something I can’t use and have to roll off or sell. Conversely, the other DK in my guild constantly gets lucky and gets all the loot. It is going to be a tale of two stories but the fact that pve feels so punishing 2 months after raid launch is pretty disappointing.

During BlizzCon last year the implementation Blizzard made was that you could do whatever content you wanted and be rewarded for it, that was a flat out lie. If I don’t spam M+ and PVP I will fall behind in gear (as I have). Sorry Blizzard, me feeling stressed to play your game or care about my family is NOT what I was expecting…

I mean, duplicate gear being 100% useless is directly the fault of removing titanforging. It removed any possibility of that duplicate drop actually being an upgrade.

This is actually a core issue with not having titanforging, tbh. Once you get the right item for a slot, that slot is simply done until you move up an entire difficulty tier. According to Raidbots, there’s only like 4 of the bosses that even have noteworthy upgrades still for me, on heroic (normal is just completely useless). And those are, predictably, the last 3, plus the last of the middle ones we did (Council), the ones I’ve had the least time to gear up on. Clearing the first 2/3rds of the raid is just a waste of time for me.

At least with titanforging, I had the chance to still get an upgrade via that busy-work.

First, I never complained about the loot drop rate in BfA. I complained about the amount of grey ā€œgarbageā€ loot items that should have been gold instead and those resources freed up to be used on something more relevant.

Second, its not the fact that my RNG sucks and I’m not getting loot that I’m upset about. I was having this discussion with my guild yesterday and as many other players have echoed in this forum and others its the lack of a sense of accomplishment we are getting from raids in the current loot system. At least in previous expansions if you didn’t get loot, you could at least say, well yeah but at least my fellow raiders got some of the things they needed to increase their item level and help the raid out. Now too often it feels like we are all working together and working hard to get loot in raid and nobody gets what they need.

It’s actually easier to gear alts and mains this expansion by just having them catch up on renown and use their anima collection to level up their gear, rather than ever bother with dungeons or raiding at any point. Mix in some torghast farming so you can build your 1 legendary and your set. You don’t even really need to bother with PVP since at the end of your covenant campaign they give you a weapon anyway.

Therefore, why are people upset?! The loot system is so broken, it almost completely eliminates the need for PVP or PVE in groups until the next raid. I mean you can, but why fight and grind on heroic/M+/arenas if the loot isn’t going to drop for you anyway.

yikes rip.

How can they fix something that they don’t consider to be broken? Drop rates have become lousy all around, I keep hoping for pet/mount drops but nope… this time the burnout will kick in a lot sooner than with bfa and thats saying a lot.

What on earth gave you the idea that they nerfed loot drops because they thought players wanted it? It’s clearly yet another crude hammer to try to extend playtime, to get as much gameplay time out of as little content as possible. Same reason the flight whistle is gone, same reason flying gets strung along, same reason the Maw doesn’t permit mounts, same reason WQs take 3x as long as in BfA and reward a quarter as much.
