Why does Blizzard constantly increase tank self healing and absorb healing as an answer to creating stronger tanks vs. providing unique ways to mitigate damage from different sources. Tanks should need to have a healer in group content to balance the healing thats missing from their damage reducing abilities.
And…. why is it that tank damage is also getting constantly buffed… the baseline damage for tanks should not be comparable to dps roles in group content.
There are three different class roles for a reason instead of blurring the lines between them make them stand out and actually be different.
It doesn’t.
Blizzard increased player health by 25% and enemy damage by 25%. The “healing and absorb buffs” are merely compensation for that.
Additionally tanks need absorbs and self-healing for survivability. A tank shouldn’t need a healer to survive basic pulls, otherwise what’s the point of a tank.

Mm, I disagree with this, I think tanks should be more or less self sustainable. Healer can throw a heal on them every now and again, but healers have too much to worry about as it stands
Definitely agree with this - tanks need more survivability, not more damage
