This 100%. I dont mind having to wait a few weeks to unlock the new 5 tier traits. what i mind is having the traits i have currently locked out to me because i got a new piece of gear.
That crap makes no sense.
That’s cool, one small problem, though.
I want the other traits, too.
That the problem with people now, everyone has this instant gratification complex.

Yeah but you clearly don’t want to. You could earn those defensive traits by the time the raid releases and you get the gear. Some people will do exactly that. It wouldn’t be easy though.
You want it and you want it now. That is instant gratification.
By delaying the knowledge they allow for progress to occur during the raid tier, rather then everyone already being maxed when it begins.
And you seem to be the only one who thinks this sounds fun. I know I don’t think it sounds fun.

For it to be instant gratification, we would have had to have known it would work this way for some time. PTR had us expecting that AK would not be frozen. Patch notes never mentioned that it would be frozen. Nothing before the patch indicated that a freezing would occur.
This is also ignoring the fact that you STILL HAVE TO WORK FOR IT. Having the AK just allows it to be POSSIBLE. My alts wouldn’t have the traits that my main does.
It’s not instant gratification to want something that that is promised to you.

I’m at 28 on my main (not this dk) without stepping foot into a raid, mythic dungeon, and stopped doing islands about 4 - 6 weeks ago.
The lazy player’s catch up will resume when the new raid is released.
Honestly once i got my reputations to exalted i cut back to only do mission table and emissary with islands to pass time and try and get the cosmetics and my necklace is 34 hell all of my alts are 24-25 and all i do is the island weekly on them.
This is not a big deal you’ll have your lazy catch up back when the new raid is released.
I am pretty much your average player I have gotten lv30 on the necklace. No way am I grinding it more because its so boring to do.
Inability to use new traits when they are out simply means you’ll need more AP, which means more time subbed to the game. It’s pretty obvious it’s supposed to be the proverbial carrot on a stick, it’s just that the carrot is half-eaten and rotten.
“Seasonal” azerite gear, gimme a break. WTB tier sets back please.

It was stated frozen until the final raid releases. This was known for plenty of time.
