Yeah, I tried to point out to the OP that the Epic Swords site he mentioned looks dodgy and hell…and that I’m sure plenty of people are going to be willing to pay the premium price for the guarantee that they’ll get a genuine product. But he brushed it off.
I have no idea what replica/display swords like this usually cost. But I’ve also seen them selling some incredibly expensive statues, so the price just seems par for the course. /shrug
The new one looks more game accurate but I’d imagine it’s far more fragile than the og version. Plenty of stories of people having the og one fall and not event dent.
The “jaina” statue was the last statue I remember. Poorly made, face was not of jaina, terrible paint job. Was incredibly overpriced and laughed at by the forums and big collectors alike
I mean…it’s not as if the sculptor would have had a real person to go off of, like they do for the Marvel stuff that’s similarly priced. And the in-game models tend to be wildly different from the fully-rendered CG stuff anyway.
There is no company called EPIC Weapons, it was Epic Swords.
Hmm… Never seen any that state that, I purchased a Mjolnir from them and its amazing.
We must be going to 2 different sites…
Throughout the entire thread I’ve simply stated the Epic Swords version is a much better buy for the cost difference. If hard core collectors want the Blizzard one and can afford it, that’s on them go for it. But its a ridiculous price for what you get no matter how the contrarians want to spin it.
