Frostmourne for DKs

Paladins can use Ashbringer? Then DKs should be able to use Frostmourne.

Frostmourne was destroyed, The Ashbringer wasnt.

We’re going to the Shadowlands, where the forge of damnation (which we are going to use to create legendaries) is, where we could easily create a new model exactly the same or even find other frostmourne-like swords. Like I know blizzard don’t give a damn about their own lore, but they are just throwing us a bunch of assets to say “yup, the frostmourne can be used again by DKs” with this new expansion

They arent saying that if Frostmourne doesnt exist anymore. In the book about the artifact which is the history of Frostmourne, its story is done and its time for the next chapter.

I guess reforging the old Frost DK legion artifact into Frostmourne 2 actually makes decent sense. We have all of the important pieces and the original creator of those pieces. It would also make for a really interesting legendary this xpac, though at that point it should be a long drawn-out questline along the lines of Shadowmourne for any class.

Only reason we didn’t get it in Legion was probably because we didn’t have the skill (and literally couldn’t wield 2-handers at the time) to reforge those pieces back into Frostmourne.

So then the artifacts story ends just to create another Frostmourne? Not to mention that they have so much to explain for Frostmourne being created in the Shadowlands to make any sense at all. How would it cross that plane of being spiritual to physical while the original story is that the Dreadlords made it, and protected themselves from it to where if they were killed by it they would return to the Twisting Nether instead of being consumed by the blade (like Mal’ganis when Arthas killed him).

They just needed a way to tie the shadowlands to the world and the LK stuff was the answer even though it already had a good story behind it.

can someone explain to me where this influx of childish demands came from?

“becky got 2 scoops of icecream and i only got 1, thats not fair”

why is anyone taking this seriously?

Its the same type of player that names their hunter some variation of ‘Legolas’.

Our class has them too.

Honestly, No. I would HATE for DKs to get Frostmourne.

If we DID get it, would I use it? Idk, probably, but regardless. We got the Blades of the Fallen Prince, which was made from the shards of frostmourne, Thats as best as you’re gonna get. I don’t care if you wanna be edgy and pretend you’re the lich king. No. Frostmourne should NEVER be available for player use.

“Because I said so!”

And also because it’s, Yknow, destroyed, and all the souls within that made it so powerful released from the blade. Then the pieces of it remaining were completely bled dry in Legion’s finale for Macguffin reasons.

Not even that. the nail in Frostmourne’s coffin is in place. They shouldn’t bring it back because “Waah, I want frostmourne” If the sword still existed, then sure, MAYBE, SOMETIME, bring it back, but the sword was shattered, and then forged into two new swords. Frostmourne is gone.

Nah, they should bring it back, the guy who made my DW swords screwed it up.

The legit Blacksmith who made frostmourne in the first place will get it right. I hear that guy is in the Shadowlands, so I am going to look him up.

Or like: “Waaaah, I don’t want you to have Frostmourne”

Because they think its their game and not Blizzards and that they pay 15 dollars a month so do as they say. Give me this, give me that, who cares about those other people I want this. Speaks about choice and in the same breath wants to impose more limitations, says Frostmourne was created for Death Knights to use in Legion though that is nowhere to be found and it was a model “upgrade” for a scenario so they werent using old loe texture models in a new expansion. It goes on an on and on.

Where it comes from? Entitlement and hatred.

No, its literally Blizzard closing the book on Frostmourne and you guys saying “wahhh I want Frostmourne”. In game it says its story is done. But hey they said the Nathrezim created Frostmourne and changed that without explaining how Frostmourne being shattered and being of the Maw, in the same place that the helm was shattered, housed countless souls, didnt break open this hole in the sky, or how something made of the spirit world could cross over and exist as a physical object. Not to mention why is there a Maw? If these souls cant be redeemed and souls can no longer exist, just remove those souls entirely and then you dont have to worry about it and no need for a jailer.

Frostmourne is gone.

Kinda strange that people still argue against having Frostmourne, since every argument that worked against it was made null by Legion.

Legion solidified that it was destroyed though? The sword was already shattered, the souls within it released. Then in Legion, the remaining shards were melted down and made into a pair of blades. Those blades later had all of their remaining power drained at the end of Legion. The shards which remained are now nothing but powerless scrap metal. Legion solidified this.

I don’t think anyone is asking for Frostmourne to actually be a weapon, just for the appearance to be usable. That doesn’t require them to be restored to their former power, even though that would also be possible (minus the souls).

Doesn’t even have to fit with the lore, seeing as DH have the warglaives despite Illidan still wielding them.

it would be a cool quest, take the shards to the Forge of Domination and have the Blacksmith repair them to let us unlock the visual.

you can copy the link from wowhead to view your character in game with it.

Compared to modern 2H, Frostmourne looks like a dagger.
