There is no logical reason for us not to get the frostmourne appearance anymore.
It being too powerful is a joke because a) it doesn’t have to be the same damned sword, just a lookalike for the sake of transmog; that being an in-lore thing. and b) we got the weapon that destroyed it, and even got to customize it.
It being not of this world is also not applicable anymore because the person who forged it is making us gear in this expansion anyway.
It having been destroyed doesn’t matter because we know what it looked like, also refer above.
2H frost is coming back, this is literally the perfect time for this to happen and theres no reasoning behind keeping this from players anymore. let the DK’s have the sword they’ve been begging for since wotlk why not?
OP’s right. Blizzard made a brand new Frostmourne model for us in Legion, but walked it back when they decided on dual wield. It’s time, friends.
Couldnt agree more, and i would not at all be surprised to at the very least find a Frostmourne-esqe option in SL - even if its just a new weapon skin to be unlocked
Sure there is, it doesnt exist anymore. And no, they did not create a new Frostmourne model for Death Knights to use, it was for the scenario. It was a new expansion so they updated some textures from the past to fit.
There is absolutely nothing released saying Frostmourne was created for Death Knights to use.

Canonically we need to shatter and destroy the Blades of the Fallen Prince and use their shards to reforge Frostmourne.
OR we can just have the skin OOCly like DHs do the Warglaives of Azzinoth.
Would have loved to see the skins they came up with for that.

Considering we got a weapon in legion that was lore wise supposed to be worse than Frostmorune. I agree with you 100%. I want Frostmourne as a useable weapon and a transmog. But until that happens I will be using Shadowmourne as my 2h frost weapon transmog.
We’re gonna reforge Frostmourne using the depowered frost artifact for Arthas when we save him from the Maw like how we got the Shadow Priest artifact and ended up giving it to Wrathion

You’ve probably seen people use the actual items in timewalking dungeons. No one can transmog them except for Demon Hunters.

I have both glaves on my DK.
Can confirm as well 100% you cannot transmog them. Blizzard released a blue post when legendary items became transmogable as to why only DH can xmog them.
You can equip them though and use for timewalking. There is also a toy that lets you temporarily copy the appearance.
