Hey, returning player to frost DK. Having seeing frost DKs with both a 2h and with DW 1h. I just wanted to know if there is a difference between the two and what’s stronger?

2h for Obliteration build, dual wield for Breath.
Obliteration for dungeons, Breath for raid.

For Raids, BoS DW, no question. For M+, Oblit if you’re pugging, BoS if your Tank is basically unstoppable and is chainpulling for you so you can keep up Breath. For Oblit, 2H and DW are similar enough you can feasibly run either depending on what you fancy. DW for more consistency outside of PoF (And more crits for Icecap for faster PoF), 2H for bigger Oblits during PoF. With 10.0.7 making the tree friendlier to 2H it’ll be leaning 2H from what I can remember.

2H Oblit is the M+ build in all scenarios imo

2h feels significantely better in pvp, i really wanted to go DW and have more damage spread but my rating tanked everytime i tried. Considering the freebie talent point soon from 10.7 removing the 2h talent and giving it to us free, it’s def 2h for pvp
